I don't write reviews. I should though because I purchase things based off them.I haven't found anything that is not a prescription medication that helps me sleep, until this bottle of gold. I have struggled with sleep for the last few years. Falling asleep and staying asleep. This bottle of gold let's me do both. THANK YOU FOR THIS!

My friend told me to take my magnesium glycerate with L-tryptophan and it's a great knockout blend. And so far, it's definitely working. So much so that my eyes are getting very heavy while I'm riding this. So good night! They are rather large pills, but I spoke too soon, they're not pills. They're capsules. So I can actually open them, and pour it into a drink of your choice and just down it. I would probably work much faster that way as well. You can also mix it with warm water and plug it, or take it rectally for maximum absorption

I don't sleep well. A kidney condition causes me to have to get up to use the bathroom at a minimum 4 times a night, and sometimes I have trouble falling back asleep after getting up. So I need to eagerly grab what sleep I can. I take one of these (only 500mg per pill, less than the completely made up "per serving" amount on the label of 1500mg), and I am completely unable to keep my eyes open with 15 minutes or so. I'm out like a light for at least a couple hours of solid sleep, and then it lasts long enough I think that for at least another few hours I'm sure of going right back to sleep after getting up. Tryptophan is a basic generic chemical that any competent lab could make into capsules. So as long as the company is reputable, the only important determining factor in choosing one over another is price, and the Horbaach version here is the cheapest per mg I've seen on Amazon.

So, I've taken this Dietary supplement for a month now, as recommended for the most part. Had no stomach aches, or headaches or anything, so seems the brand is decent?Now, the efficacy of it has been noticeable, slightly, but it took maybe a week before, I really noticed I'd been dreaming more, which means I'm hitting the deeper stage of sleeping. Which is a good thing.Anyways, hope Horbäach keeps up their quality standards & I'll return as a customer for better sleep.

They had a product called “Sleep Formula” that would never fail: Take 3 of the enormous capsules and within an hour you could not help but become drowsy. It guaranteed 1500mg of L-Tryptophan, but it had additional ingredients that thinking chemists put together after rigid testing. You’d sleep the sleep of a newborn babe and wake up with absolutely NO after effect.Their first mistake was getting rid of the formula; their second, getting rid of the unique bottle design. Now hete’s the third:03/2023 THIS STRIPPED DOWN WANNABE OF A SLEEP AID DOESN’T WORK. I’ve given it now one week and not once has Horbäach’s L-Tryptophan induced so much as a wink. It’s cheap because it was mfgd. on the cheap. I could snap the bottle it arrives in with one hand, the plastic is so thin. I’m disgusted and will never order it again. They’ve lost a valuable customer who has by now referred at least a dozen people to the Horbäach product. This will fail and perhaps they’ll get religion but I’m not holding my breath, I’ll have jumped to another brand. Bring back the original or lose market share.

Horbaach L Tryptophan does seem to work. But I have to say 1 or 2 capsules (500mg-1000mg) is less effective. I am a 200 lb male 62 year old. I have found that three capsules ( 1500 mg) on an empty stomach, take at least 1 hr before you plan to sleep does seem to be effective. I find L tryptophan to be more effective than Melatonin for me. Still seeing if I will have any side effects at 1500mg dose, such as an increase in blood sugar of blood pressure, not that I see so far.

UPDATE: Super happy it's back in stock. Still works great 👍🏼----I purchased this two times because it WORKS which made me do a happy dance! I’m a serious insomniac since a child and have tried every natural, self help remedy, routine or alternative to prescription sleep aides you can think of. I develop resistance to meds like Lunesta and they give me headaches that trigger migraines after awhile. Ambien made me hallucinate and even call my ex husband and have a 45 minute conversation I didn’t recall the next day - ugh.... total train wreck of a moment—NOT an experience I wanted to repeat - so I’ve been searching for SOMETHING more natural that WORKS...Tried this on a whim after reading about in a book. Happy to say it works!I don’t go straight to sleep like with a prescription but it does allow me to get drowsy enough to fall asleep after awhile. I experimented with taking 2,000 mg instead of the 1500mg recommendation to see if I’d sleep faster but it caused - strangely enough - the same sort of “brain zaps” that people coming off of anti depressants get. (I know this because I took anti depressants during the divorce & aftermath of being married to the cause of my train wreck of a phone call mentioned above😮) Dropped back to and have stayed with recommended 1500mg. So my advice is stick to the recommended dose and this is a great product.This is, in my opinion, a safer, less risk of side effects alternative and a good option for people trying to limit their exposure to prescriptions in general.I do wish it was still available. Amazon says it is currently unavailable and they don’t know if or when it will return. I hope it does but in the meantime I purchased a similar product with 200 capsules for $16.99.
