No, they have not flattened out they are still as stiff as when first installed.

Do they scratch your paint

Yes they do but only if they are not glued right, meaning if one end is loose than it will do that. But good news, my pain got little scratched and it was so easily removed with simple car scratch cream you can get in any store. And it is more black residue from the eyelashes than scratched paint. Plus my car looks so cute, I don't mind a little maintenance. when you will as many complements as I did you won't mind it either :)
