I waited a while to make this review to be as accurate as possible as well as guve my plants ample time to see how they liked it. I researched b4 getting these for my ikea greenhouses and I am glad I got these!!! I do not think I can say enough wonderful things about these lights a s honestly how gorgeous my plants look is all the proof I need! Any and all the plants I have put in these greenhouses has flourished due to these lights. I also cultivate carnivorous plants which need alot of light and they loved this light and colored up quickly to get the Beatiful pinks and reds that these plants can give when sunstressed. The ease of setting these up with the options provided ( I went with the adhesive tape) is amazing not to mention the detailed instructions 😀 the magnetic connection is beyond awesome 👌 being able to turn and angle to my desire is a plus!!! I think the one main thing that I love about this light is it gives off such a warm and wonderful bright light that illuminates my whole living room and isn't bothersome to the eyes whatsoever, plus my other plants on the other side of the room benefit as well! Without being technical with the lights ext these are absolutely amazing lights and I definitely recommend 👌 😊

Soltech is my go to got plant lights

I bought 2 of soltech to mod an ikea greenhouse. Let's just get the major cons out of the way:1. The touch controls are finicky. I still don't have it down right and its a bit annoying given the premium product that it is.2. Premium yes. Pricey yes. Can you get something that does the job for way less? Absolutely.So who is this product for? Its for those who really care about aesthetics of their green house especially if its taking any sizeable portion of a common area or room. Otherwise, there are way cheaper alternatives that have more reliable means of controlling the product.

Came with no instructions, just a box with the item in it.

Ordered the grove light and noticed the touch mechanic wasn’t working. Sent it back and ordered a replacement, only for the replacement to have the same problem which just functionally makes this product a really expensive bar light you can’t dim or turn off.

Magnetic mounts work great, bright light for plants. Good light

I thought the light could be attached to my metal shelf via magnets but no, only the brackets attach magnetically to each end of the light bulb. It allows the light to be rotated, and that does work well. The other end of the bracket attaches to your shelving via sticky or screw. I needed to use the screw-in method.To use the screw-in method: If you open up the paper with the mounting screw placement, in Step 1 it says to separate the base from the magnet end by sliding it off. Well, I couldn’t get it to budge for the longest time. I gave up but later came back and was able to slide them both off but it’s hard to grab a hold of. It should be easier at this price point.Issue #2: The light is supposed to turn on/off and dim with touch. It did not work for me although at one point it turned off and I couldn’t get it back on. I had to unplug it. The video says it may take 10 seconds, that’s a long time to be blinded by the light. I did contact support so will see what they say.Edited to add: (Support contacted me right away and this is what he said to do and it helped: The best method is to "pinch" the light with your thumb, index and middle fingers. You want to pinch it twice, the first pinch should be normal/fast, then pinch again but this time hold that pinch and in a few seconds you will see it slowly dim down. Just repeat to brighten it. if you pinch twice without the hold, the light will turn on/off. ) But in my mind, it's too fussy and I don't like dealing with that. I want an easy way to turn it on and off.I like that the light doesn’t hang down and leaves plenty of headroom for my plants. It’s small at 17 inches in width which even includes the mounting ends. The diameter is about the size of a quarter.It does come with a timer which I had no need for so can’t speak on how well that worked.But overall the light is frustrating to use.
