The small additional cost of the Dewalt DCD709N over cheaper Dewalt drills gives you significantly more torque and a more compact drill allowing you to use it in more restricted spaces. Excellent. The only negative review I have seen is from someone who didn’t realise they were buying a “bare” tool, that is, one without a case or battery

I can't praise the seller and the product enough as this was delivered one day after I ordered it, the description was spot on and like new this is to replace my old unit as after 21 years it gave up the ghost, I was a little disappointed as I had a party arranged.

Great wee drill, delivered very quickly and handles concrete and brickwork with ease as it is quite powerful for its size.

Well built and very compact, much smaller than the model I owned before

A cheap, light drill from DeWalt that is good quality, and performs extremely well in a Second Fix situation (cabinet work, wookwork, skirting boards, architrave and so on).It's small and lightweight. Partnered with a 1.7AH or 2AH battery is more than enough, and keeps it nice and light.Although it does have a hammer setting, this drill is really for brick and block only. It doesn't have the power for concrete.What is particularly useful, and why I love it so much, is the clutch has a really delicate setting for soft woods and composites. A drill like the 805, for example, is just too powerful and can easily damage the materials even on the clutches lowest setting.Highly recommended.
