the original v5 had a narrow barrel, and wasn't very comfortable to write with. does this one have a rubber grip? i need something i don't need to grasp firmly.

It does have a rubber grip. I love these pens and I don't have to grasp it firmly, i hold them quite relaxed actually. But I do have small hands.

where can i get refills for these pens, all the colors?

Is the ink permanent?

Yes but I don't believe it is secure ink e.g., Uniball, Singo gel pens. In other words the Pilot ink could be lifted from documents with a chemical process. Is Pilot ink very difficult to remove from clothing? YES.

What colors are in the pack?

Purple, red, green, black, and blue. These pens write beautifully. They glide along the paper.
