does it use universal 2 mm lead or only lead sold by this company?

2mm is 2 mm… there is enough to last a long time that comes with but it should be standard size.. I use mine every day and I’m still on the first stick..

Will these lead holders work with a Steadtler 502 sharpener?

I'm guessing they might. I have an older pointer that you have to insert the pencil into and turn the the pencil in a circle. I have to extend the lead from the lead holder some to fit it in. Yet after a few turns the lead is sharp and I can just insert the lead all the way back in. It could depend on weather or not the outer diameter of the pencil will fit. Keep in mind there's a risk it might not work.

What are the lead numbers that come in the three holders? Best way to mark them?

These pencils are all 2mm. These aren't the .03, .05, .07, or .09 pencils, if that's what you're referring to. I do believe this same company has the above for sale. Remember that these are stick pencils with long leads that go in them not the small packages of leads that you purchase from major brands in office depot or something.
