How do you adjust the band? What kind of tool do you need?

Best to take it to a jeweler or to one of the watch repair stands in a shopping mall. Very hard to try to do it yourself without damaging the band.

What is men's standard? How many inches long?

watch itself is 1.5 inches long...1.25 " wide, if you're interested

mine is silver but I understand the same watch is available in gold

does it show 12 & 24 time

Yes, it does. You can select it as shown in the instructions. I use military time as the am and pm time indicators are very small.
