Yes it does come off and yes you can buy extra pads , witch is an added bonus that the dyson doesn’t have . In my opinion the provenir p11 is as good as de dyson at a fraction of the price .

When I was on the actual page of the vacum, I scrolled down and there was an option that allowed you to buy the extra battery. Decibel is 78 to 82. Weight with the floor brush 8.35+/- pounds. Not sure about hose
