Pure, Great taste
Ghee is the pure butterfat left over after the milk solids and water are removed from butter by gently simmering the butter and skimming off the milk solids. It's used widely in Indian cooking, and is gaining wuite a foothold here in the US as well. Purity Farm Ghee needs no refrigeration because it is so pure (clarified) -- it smelled great and mixed beautifully with everything I cooked (soup, rice, oatmeal, hotcereals, veggies. I also had a bad cold and it helped make my endless hot teas go down easier (with a little sugar and some spirits too)Noq Ghee IS almost pure fat -- but it has been touted as a digestive aid and as being beneficial to the inner-workings of humankind (as per Ayervedic texts). So who am I to complain? I use it in moderation, and can find many culinary uses for it.Yes it's great on toast and English muffins too -- I have yet to bake with it. But I will.

Buyer beware
My package arrived with the ghee all over the packaging. Even grease spots on the outside side. I was looking forward to a quality product. This was a very small amount for the price. Beware this is not a returnable item so I am out the high cost I paid thinking this was a quality product.

Great quality, Amazing Taste, & GOOD or you!
I loved this ghee! Very high quality and delicious in and on everything! Ordered this to use in my Bullet Proof Coffee & it was FANTASTIC! I ended up using it on anything I used butter in/on. Great source for Omega's. Use in moderation of course but it's a healthy fat. I bought this back in 2013, want to buy it again, & realized I never left a review - hence the lateness haha. I notice that the name and packaging has changed but I hope the product hasn't changed. I bought it in 2013 because of the good reviews & price/size in comparison to other brands that were organic & gma free. Highly recommend this to anyone! You won't be disappointed! (I paid for this and didn't receive it for free or a discount for a review)

Pretty alright
I've been trying different ghee's as of late this is my I think 5th brand. I found some of the more popular options kind of meh. This one surprised me, it has a decent flavor and texture to it. I'm not a huge fan of ghee so far, maybe I just love butter, but I have no real complaints about this one. Still looking for one that knocks my socks off but this one is definitely a safe choice for me.

Funny off taste
This had a funny off taste to it as if it was old. I much prefer regular cold store brought butter to this. It has a better flavor. This tasted like rancid grease.

If heaven had a smell, this would be it.
I've tried ghee from various sources (okay fine, I've tried ghee from one other source), and it doesn't even come close to Purity Farm. Imagine if somebody decided to make clarified butter out of Kerrygold (or some such fancy butter like that). Now imagine this premium clarified butter gets rejected by your wife, who brings out Purity Farm instead - that's how I envisioned this being marketed in my head when I first tried cooking with it.The rich scent of butter that gets released as you heat it up is so mouth-watering, I almost burnt my face trying to lean into my pan. My only regret is that I bought this small jar of 7.5oz and not a lifetime supply. Of course I'm buying more.
