Beautiful, Comfortable, and Reliable — A Great First Automatic
I’ve had this watch for over a year now, and it’s easily one of my favorites—especially during the summer. The dial has a vibrant, pearl-like luster that really catches the light, and the case has a beautiful shine that adds to its clean, refined look.It fits my wrist very well—not too small—and the bracelet is smooth and comfortable. The links don’t pinch or catch, and the multiple micro-adjustments make it easy to get a perfect fit. The clasp is solid and still works like new after a year of regular wear. The hands are sharp and clean, and the lume on the hands and hour markers is bright—though it doesn’t last all night. The movement is impressively precise. As my first automatic watch, I love being able to see the movement through the exhibition caseback. While it does stop if I go a day or two without wearing it, I hardly ever need to reset the time as long as I wear it regularly. It runs maybe a minute slow every week or two—not bad at all for the price.Overall, this watch has been a joy to own and wear. Its bright dial and sleek design make it perfect for warmer months, but honestly, it works year-round.

Great first watch and amazing price for what you get
I haven’t seen a update in the reviews in a while so for anyone looking to get this watch this is probably the most recent review, the price for the watch is great seems like it’s worth a lot more works great easy to set up you have an Arabic day and English day so you can pick between both so easy to get rid of the links. The way it comes is perfect nice box certified card, size of the watch is perfect for my wrist. People said it losses time but I had it for a week and the watch is very accurate with the time I compare it to the time on the iPhone and it’s on point. After wearing it for a week you can even feel it on your wrist but you would have to get used to it this is my first watch so i have no clue if it is heavy or light.

DOA Watch was returned
This watch was a beautiful purchase. But unfortunately the watch I received did not work out of the box. The packaging may have been replaced as it did not seem like it belonged to this watch. (I’m not an expert) There where no stickers or retail tags on this watch. I have purchased other watches on Amazon and they have so far all came in the retail packaging. Again, this watch did not work out of the box. It was returned to Amazon for a refund.

Read the description.
I'm sure this is a great watch, as Seiko is a well respected brand, but this watch is so tiny, I doubt it's for men. If you scroll down it says that the case diameter is "37 millimeters". That's 1.4 inches. The band is "18 millimeters", less than one inch wide. Again, I'm sure it's a great watch, it just looks tiny tiny on my wrist, and I have tiny wrists.Update (1/24/15): All it took was some getting used to. This has now become my every day watch. I never take it off. It looks great and goes with anything from a business suit to a tank top and shorts. I swim 2-3 times a week and it withstands being 10 feet under water. Would definitely recommend.

Nice self winding watch
I was tired of installing new batteries on my old Seiko watch every year or so. It was a pain to open the back case or to take it to the store and let them change the battery for me at a cost of about $10.00 every time. The last time I took my old watch to the store they forgot to put back the rubber seal around the back cover, and dust and suet got into the watch. What a mess!I found this Seiko watch at Amazon super reasonable priced. It is beautiful to look at and its time is accurate all the time. It winds itself with every move of your arm and keep on working when you take it off for about a day or so. No more worries for the batteries anymore. Very good looks and quality. Will last a lifetime. (I threw my old battery Seiko in the trash)

Seiko 5 SNKL41 - a very nice introduction to automatic watches for the smaller/slimmer guy
I just received this watch last week and really like it so far. I am a smaller-sized guy, so bear in mind that my wrists are also smaller than most. Having never adjusted a watch band on my own before, I had a difficult time until I found a video showing me how to do it (I posted the link here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1OOXYS2CVXJ6V/ref=cm_cr_rev_detmd_pl?ie=UTF8&asin=B008EWSA6W&cdForum=FxUOIWKNRIXVKQ&cdMsgID=Mx1HPACO5F4QPOO&cdMsgNo=1&cdPage=1&cdSort=oldest&cdThread=TxI43Y3RBPQGO4&store=watches#Mx1HPACO5F4QPOO). Since I didn't have a tiny screwdriver handy, I taped a quarter to my thumb and used it to apply orthogonal pressure to a paperclip end I had unbent to 90 degrees.I really like the look of the watch - it can be worn casually, but it also looks good with a sport coat or formal suit. It also has enough weight that I can tell I am wearing a watch if I think about it, but it is not heavy. My only point of discontent is that the stored "charge" doesn't last more than a day on the watch I received. A part of this is a limitation of all automatic watches - I understand that even the most expensive automatic watch does not last for more than a day and a half. But, it would have been nice if the watch I received could have sustained a full 24 hours on its stored charge (I bought it with the intention of alternating it with another leather-banded automatic watch that I am waiting to arrive). Essentially, this means that unless you wear this watch daily, expect to have to check and reset the time every day you decide to wear it. As an example, I took it off at around 2am this morning after wearing it all day and evening. When I checked on it this evening, it had stopped just before 9pm.The price I paid ($60) is more than I've ever paid before for a watch, but I would recommend it if you're interested in getting an automatic watch.I do need to look more into how to have the watch maintained when I have a chance, but please comment if you have experience with getting this or similar watches maintained. Information like how often, where to go, and approximate cost would all be appreciated.
