Denon AVR-X4500H = AWESOME
I ordered Denon AVR-X4500H (Renewed) on Amazon and it was shipped by accessories4less. The web page says it comes with a warranty, so I looked at the accessories4less web page and they indicated it was a 3 year warranty. However, once it arrived the box indicates it was only a one year Denon warranty. I emailed Accessories4less.com as to which was correct, Mark Sabbarese responded, "You get one year when buying on Amazon and 3 years if you buy directly from our site." So, if I buy another one I might consider this option. The quality of the Denon 4500H is top notch. Looks beautiful and runs great. The box included AAA batteries instead of the AA needed for the remote but there's also a note from Denon that they tested all channels. I setup the 4500H with 11.1 mode using pre-outs on Fronts and Sub using an external legacy Adcom amp. I'm using Audyssey XT32 Flat with Dynamic EQ engaged and the sound is amazingly FAT. I have not purchased a receiver of this caliber before so there was a learning curve to understand all the features. I love the $20 Audyssey app for iPad and the TV interface is good too. In addition, there is a web interface that lets me open a computer and change any of the 4500H settings. My speakers never sounded so good. SIX STARS OUT OF FIVE for the Denon 4500H. :-)

A quality receiver, and Atmos is amazing!
I’ve had it for about six months now. There is nothing bad about it. I wish it had two more channels of amplification so I didn’t have to add a power amplifier. It switches HDMI fine, it sounds great, it looks great, the only negative is it seems when updating the firmware automatically it locks the machine up, and I have to unplug it to restore functionality and complete the firmware update. Otherwise it works great

Increase Wattage I put for Superior Sound.
Overall, I wished the avr output wattage was increased due to several speaker outputs(atmos) etc.

Regret
So I took a chance and got this 4500 refurbished. Came in very nicely packaged. But as others have mentioned in their review I am about 25 days into using it and the video decided to stop working. Did a factory reset, unplugged everything and finally got video back. So far extremely disappointed. I love Denon receivers. When you buy refurbished they claim to test and check the unit so that it works properly. This is clearly not the case or multiple people would not be claiming the same thing. I will likely need to use for another 30 days before I officially return. I hate to do that as it’s a massive, pain to unplug and switch everything out. I wish I had just bought new as it’s just not worth it even with the savings of buying refurbished

Excellent
I own a few different receivers and have my home audio plumbed though my walls and ceilings for multiple rooms. This unit controls my main home theater/viewing area. Using the pre-outs, I have a 3 channel amplifier and a 5 channel amplifier connected to power my 4ohm floor speakers, surrounds, center, and ceiling speakers. Four subs are connected as well. This unit delivers! While I wouldn't buy another one of these, I would highly recommend this to someone with lightly lesser needs than I have. My next purchase will most likely be a dedicated processor (no internal amping) but they also are much more expensive.

I highly recommend the Denon avr X4500
Denon avr X4500 is awesome. Sound quality is top notch. This receiver is Hi-Res capable. Signed up for Amazon HD-Ultra music streaming service, and the Hi-Res music is great. I highly recommend!

Two renewed units went bad so far
First renewed unit was bad out of the box, World Wide Stereo promptly sent me a second renewed unit. 10 months later the second unit would not fire up, it is now now in the warranty repair shop, we'll see how it goes. UPDATE: The unit has gone back to the shop again for warranty work. Buying a Yamaha next time!!!

Value for the money, worth the risk
Looks and works like new. Very satisfied with my purchase as I got it for $899.00. Turns out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made in buying electronics. You can purchase the insurance like I did but pretty sure I'll never need to use it and saved atleast $600.00. I'm an audiophile and was apprehensive but sure glad I followed my instincts
