The title for this product is misleading. is not the magnet! right?

How do you know? Please inform us. For me, there is an adhesive that sticks to the device on one side. The other face the magnetic plate. If it isn’t a magnet, it works very well as one.

Does it work with the ball magnet?

Yes. I'm using the ball magnet.

What gauge are these?

I can't measure precisely, but about 1/32 nd of a inch, maybe less. Thicker than a standard sheet of paper.
