Bought this for transition between wood flooring and tile (from hallways to 2 bathrooms, and from foyer to living room.). I like the look. Inexpensive solution. I used scissors, that I would not recommend. Use an exacto knife to cut instead-more precise.

I used this to join two different types of acrylic flooring and it worked great.

Honestly impressed with these. (Please keep in mind I am rating this based off how good it is for the price.) For the price and some reviews I was a little worried but after putting them down not anymore. The Adhesion is actually fairly strong. The only negative I could put out is once down if it gets worm it becomes extremely sticky so if you ever need to pull it up it will really fight you. Learned this the hard way after I put it down and the room flooded a week later and had to take it back up for cleanup. Install is really as simple as it gets unroll it peel the plastic and lay it down then firmly press it down. As for durability has been down for several weeks (after the flooding problem. And yes you should not pull it up and then put is back down its not as sticky the second time.) and with our dogs and all the traffic the area gets its not rolling or coming up at all.

We put these down as a temporary solution when we were redoing our floors until we figured out what we wanted to do permanently, but honestly, I forgot they were temporary because they have held up so well and look great!

I was hoping that this would be a relatively thick vinyl for the transition strip (not width, thickness), but it was thinner than I expected. I installed it in two doorways to transition from wood to a higher tile. The strip cuts easily with scissors and sticks reasonably well (I cleaned the surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol), but I had some difficulty getting the lower part to stick since it kept wanting to lift up to the height of the higher side. Maybe I should have hit it with a heat gun or hair dryer to help with that.It looks okay, but far from polished. I do like that it prevents stubbing toes on the transition. My biggest complaint is that every time I walk on the transition, it's so thin that it flexes easily and I can feel the uneven floor transition underneath. If it were about 25-50% thicker, I don't think that would be a problem.We installed a similar one at work that seems to be thicker. Maybe I'll try to find that one again and order that instead.

I have tried everything from the metal strips to the popular box store depot products and having to use special tools to cut etc.. were becoming so frustrating. Found this, and what a RELIEF. The simplest part about my bathroom remodel. You just use scissors!! It cuts so easily, you are able to make it the size you need, and if you look at my second image - I was able to cut it so it fits around the trim and goes from end to end. BEAUTIFUL! I placed it the first time a little crooked and was able to fix that easily, I love whoever created this. You have no idea how great it was to have something so simple to use and that looks great! Would highly recommend, thank you for making such a daunting task so easy!!
