The Jay J2 wheelchair cushion is designed relieve pressure from lower back/vertebrae issues for individuals using wheelchairs. I purchased this cushion for my senior mother who has severe pain problems due to crushed lower vertebrae. This cushion is designed so that the buttocks are supported with layers of specialized cushions while the coccyx area is recessed for less weight and less pressure on the coccyx and lower back/vertebrae. The J2 cushion was recommended for my mom by physical therapists at her nursing home. My mother has now used this pillow on her wheelchair for a few years (replacing it once for cleanliness issues) and I agree with them. She has less pain when sitting in her wheelchair and can sit for longer periods of time. The J2 cushion is worth the cost for an individual who has vertebrae issues, for helping relieve back pressure and pain.

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I didn’t receive a complete pass. There’s no gel, no memory foam - I may as well be sitting on a bench. It’s horrible.
