A real blast
Had hours and hours of fun fending off my boys in household battles. Reliable and powerful. The magazines made reloads very fast.

Great gun for a Nerf maniac!
My son LOVES nerf guns. He added this to his collection. It was quite pricey but he loves it mostly because it is lever action. It's pretty durable so far. We will see how long it lasts.

Bought his at a much lower price. I thought that I had been super clever, until I realized that it stayed at the at price for a very long time! Seems that a lot of Nerf guns are on sale nowadays...So, the SlingFire is a very good gun. It's very accurate, and shoots a reasonable distance (about 30 feet flat and 40-45 feet angled). It has lever-action priming, which is very cool, and it also is, I believe, the only clip-system Zombie Strike Nerf gun released so far, aside from the Z-Squad re-releases. I am slightly annoyed about the clip, since it kept popping my darts back out again if I put in six, which caused me to have only five darts in my clip unless I was very fast about putting in my clip, so phooey to that; of course, if you have another clip-system blaster, you could just swap clips, and of course, I could just have a defective clip. Anyway, a lot of people are talking their gun jamming. And I should tell them... my SlingFire hasn't jammed once. Not even once. The reason that it's jamming for them is because they don't push the lever all the way forward. Just push the lever until you hear a sharp *CLICK*, and you should be just fine. Don't push it any more after you hear the click, though, since you might snap of the lever. :P. Also, the clip system is a bit odd. You have to push the lever all the way forward, and then you have to pull down on the lever-release slide to make the clip fall out, and it won't fall out unless the lever is ALL THE WAY FORWARD, and sometimes the lever goes backward a little after you push it forward, so that's a bummer. So really, it's just a quirky blaster, and you need to learn how to operate it. Also, there's a ever-release button the left side of the blaster, should it ever get stuck, which hasn't happened to me yet, except for when I tried to jam it! And never put more than six darts into the clip, or it'll jam the blaster and also chew up your darts, which you can then remove using the jam door; that is also a good time to use the lever release. Just follow those instructions, and your blaster should be fine. If you don't want such a complicated blaster but you still want something really cool and different, try the Sledgefire.

Works great. The level action is smooth and satisfying
Bought this for nerf wars with my little brother. Works great. The level action is smooth and satisfying, but I'd recommend reinforcing the level before doing 1 handed cycling, it feels bendy and is probably easy to snap.Gun is as accurate as those $15 revolvers that Nerf sells. Wasn't really expecting anything better. Gun has loops for a sling so you can carry this over your shoulder. Has a rail at the top for scopes and accessories. Magazine is your standard nerf mag, so you can stick a drum into this and go nuts.Overall, good for the price, though I recommend reinforcing the level because that's definitely the weak point of the gun and will be the first thing to break if you start showboating.

BATTLE II
NERF nails it again. Bought a few different models for my kids and myself. This one was for my oldest boy who I had to teach how to load and chamber the darts but once he got the hang of it, he was John Wick-ing it around the house. Thanks Amazon and thanks NERF!

Hopefully there aren't any zombies
I grew up with Nerf footballs, but never the guns or crossbows or any of the other variations of weapons they have. Both our son and daughter like these though our daughter is pretty much grown out of them. I'm not giving it a higher score than a three simply because these Nerf guns are just plain frustrating. Our son, by my count, has 5 of these in different sizes and makes. Our daughter has three of the girls versions. Only one of them still works perfectly. I would like to say it's because the kids are too rough on them, but it's not that. Something, at least one piece, seems to be bad on each one. That one piece stops the weapon from working perfectly. Which leads the kids to ask for a new one since they have dozens of the little darts. The only problem we have had with them that wasn't a build issue was when our little puppy decided the darts looked like treats and chewed a whole pack up (Didn't eat them, just gnawed them to pieces). Which could be a good warning on these. The darts are very similar to dog chew toys in texture. I'll still give 3 stars for the fun the kids have when the weapons are working. The darts from what I can tell are pretty safe though I wouldn't want to get hit in the eye with some of these, especially the sling ones since they have quite a bit of steam behind them.

It is relay easy to cycle My take on it
According to my 6 YO:It is relay easy to cycleMy take on it:It is the right size for 6 YO, it is fairly accurate once you figure out the drop of the dart. I manage to hit targets as they run around every time :-)It is durable, the cycling mechanism is a bit flimsy as all parts are plastic. So your lever is thin and long, therefore there is bilateral action left/right as you cycle the 'bolt', if you are not careful you will not fully cycle and will feel like being stuck. Well I did not break it yet neither did my kids..
