Domori Chuao Criollo Chocolate Bar

One of the most complex pieces of chocolate I’ve ever tasted. This was my introduction to the world of high end chocolate and it has set a high bar indeed.

And for those like me, this might not be so amazing. It's definitely different. Don't make the mistake of biting into it. Even with small pieces, the flavors are intense - reminds me of some weird woody stuff, probably Himalayan cedar. Sounds fancy but it's not the kind of flavor I would want in my food.

Wow just wow! This is bar all chocolate should be held to.

I watched a show about bringing back extinct varieties of cacao on PBS. I was so excited I thought, A NEW CHOCOLATE! HORAY! 😍So, I just had to order it. It came! Oh delicious chocolate! & even though it was packed with a tiny freezer pack...I picked it up & it was liquid. OH NO!BUT, no big deal, right? Because you can stick chocolate in the fridge & it will firm up again. It always still tastes delicious... I took it out of the fridge. Finally, I get to taste this wonderful ancient chocolate. Oh my... Yuck. Did it spoil?This was supposed to be so delicious & smooth. It was not. I was so sad. 😭 I spent $10.00 on a .088 oz of chocolate. What a shame. It was also gluten free. No dairy, no eggs. I had felt so lucky. Nothing to make me ill.Chocolate cravings out of control. I went to WINCO & bought my normal 70% Lindnt Chocolate bar. (For under $3.00)😊I'm allergic to so many foods. I don't like to stray from my "SAFE" foods. But a girl has got to try. It was all for the chocolate. 😉

This is considered among the best chocolate bars in the world, and I can’t disagree. This has a lot of straight chocolate flavor. There are other notes such as cream and honey, but those are very subtle.The only downside is that (per gram) it can be more expensive than some of the other world-class chocolate such as Pralus or Valrhona.

Superb chocolate, must try along with Pacari and Amedei. Chocolate of this quality is compatible to fine Brandy and Single Malt Whiskey In the same way an XO costs much more than a VS, the price is bound to the quality of the product. This is as far above Valhrona standard 70% bar as Valhrona is is above Hersheys kisses.
