Will be converting from yellow to blue permanently
I can feel the difference between these and yellow cleats. I don’t think I’ll be using yellow ever again. Just the right amount of float for me. Might have to see what red has to offer.

Works great
Replacing original cleats, these work great as well. The covers are hard to put on though. Have to pull really forcefully to get them over.

Cleat vs. Covers
NOTE: This is a review of the the cleat/cover set I received. The cleats alone are a 5-star product. After riding Shimano, Look, and Speedplay pedals I settled on Shimano. These blue cleats are a bit stiffer than the yellow version, which is what I usually ride. My knees are a bit tricky and I was a little wary about the stiffness, but so far that hasn't been an issue. My only comment on this product is that the covers that come with it are super finicky. They don't fit over the outside of the cleat; the hook onto its top and bottom and fit across the center. Not the best design. You can buy the cleats and covers separately, which is what I recommend. Covers are useful if you're on a coffee ride or going someplace where you'll be walking around a bit, but these ones are a pain in the ass. Again, 5 stars for the cleats themselves.

Good quality cleats with bonus cleat covers included!
These cleats fit my SPD-SL shoes as expected. Also as expected, they come with a set of chromed screws and rectangular washers for use in installation. What I did not expect was to receive bundled in a set of cleat covers. Those could be $10 all by themselves, so I appreciated receiving those. These are the "blue" color tabs on the cleats, meaning reduced float vs. yellow. I have been riding a long time and always used yellow previously. These seem to work great, and maybe I actually will prefer them in the long run as it counters my tendency to rotate my foot around aimlessly while clipped in.

Genuine 2 degree Shimano Cleats with Tight Fitting Covers
This cleat set includes what appears to be genuine Shimano blue cleats along with a nice pair of cleat covers. Being regular cyclists, we had tried the Shimano blues before and these are identical in every way and appear to be genuine. My wife had wanted to try these out after having used the yellows for many years as these have less movement when you're pedaling compared with the 6 degree float of the yellows. They can take a little getting used to as far as clipping out goes but they do feel more responsive comparatively when pedaling. The cleat covers are a perfect fit and can help save the cushioning pads when walking in your bike shoes. They come complete with mounting hardware and will fit all road bike shoes with the three bolt SPD-SL connectors. At $29.90 for the cleats and covers, these are priced a little higher than the off brands but we've typically had good performance and durability from the Shimano brand. 5 stars.

Great Cleat Replacements and Cover Set!
Not that I generally use the cover set but it's a great touch for when I remember that I have them stashed in my flat bag. Now, the cleat replacements are branded as pure shimano, and they fit perfectly and work exactly as expected. They're a great overall value and I appreciate the lower float.

Excellent Quality and Performance.
It was time to replace my cleats and these Gear SPD-SL cleats became available; I ordered them. They appeared to be a good value with the cleat covers included. As it has turned out, they’re a darn good value considering the quality of not only the cleats themselves, but of each included component, from the hardware to the thick rubber cleat covers. Although I'm not clear from the seller’s description whether these are actually a Shimano part, if it isn't, the quality appears equal to the OEM parts. On the other hand, Shimano SM-SH12 is printed on the bottom of the cleats, that does correspond to a Shimano part number for blue, 2-degree cleats; these probably are genuine. The covers are thick rubber and when properly attached stay firmly in place. To attach them, I found it most expedient to hook them over the bottom first, then push them over the front. I use the small hole on the pull of the cover to attach them to my water pack with a carabiner; they’re likely to come in handy while repairing the inevitable flat, or if for any reason it’s necessary to walk any distance while wearing bike shoes. All good; I’m very pleased with these cleats.
