Awesome value - great kit
We got this kit for £58, down by £20, and I think that is amazing value. After losing all my old Lego from childhood, I am trying to get kits that are not too specialised but have a very wide diversity of parts...to allow many other creations. This castle has stacks of novel bricks, windows and embellishment items. Having a good range of figures, a horse and catapult is added value.Another nice feature is the modular construction...each quarter of the castle joins together with technical Lego pins, which means you can rearrange the model for a different layout.Lots of small pieces, so my little lad won't have his mitts on it for a couple of years yet.All in all, I think this is one of the best models available for parts at that price. I'd even say that at full price it won't disappoint.Have fun - stay young!

Very nice castle set.
There are lots of things to play with. The castle is modular and can be rebuilt into different shapes, although some do not form a closed loop. The catapults are fun for shooting. The drawbridge and gate work nicely to close the castle. The keys and matching doors are a nice touch. The minifigs are superb.

Hours of building and play fun
My son longed for this set for an entire year and finally got it for his 7th birthday last month. It arrived a few days later than expected, so the surprise I planned was not as perfect as I hoped, but all in all within reasonable expectations for the outskirts of Europe where many sellers won't even dispatch their goods. It took my 7-year old three days to assemble the castle by himself, though he had breaks in the process. The instructions are precise as usual for Lego and only on a few occasions did he need correction in the process. So, in a first place, three full days of excitement, and that's only when the real play started. A month later, he still plays with it most days and has it assembled. The castle is assembled from sections and can also be disassembled as such, so once my son took one of the towers with him when we went on a trip :) We haven't had the castle fall apart when trying to move it, but during the assembly we did have to rebuild a few parts because they hadn't been laid sturdily enough - a child might not be pushing the blocks together firmly and then it can crumble, but that is not an issue about this particular set.All in all, we're happy customers. A dream come true for one little boy :)

Brilliant
I had a Lego castle when I was younger and loved it, I recently bought this for my nephew and it is brilliant, it's a good size and comes with plenty of mini figures etc. you can move the walls etc around too to have different combinations. The only drawback is that there are not many extra sets you can buy to accompany it

Great castle, great value
The castle is a good size withn plenty of different sections and lots of different things to make. A great price and plenty of play value. With no brand tomsupport, like starwars, means you get more for your money and my kids loved it. Also fits on a large tray so we can keep it built and move it around.

Kept him busy for hours
My son will usually only consider Lego if it is Star Wars, however he made an exception for this set. It is a great toy to build and he spent several days on it (usually he has things constructed in a few hours). It comes with lots of extras and moving parts and unlike some of the more delicate models, you can actually play with this one. My 8 year old loved it.

It's overpriced
I dislike this as it used to only be about 80 pound for this set now its like 200 and something why you put the price up it was only released in 2015

Castle with lots of cool features
I thought this was going to be a bit too simple to build, but actually it took about 3 days over Christmas, which my son and I thoroughly enjoyed. The castle has some cool features which make playing more fun:A prison - for locking up the dragon knights!A catapultDrawbridge and portcullisA throne roomA treasure room with keysA secret doorA breakable/removable bit of wallCombined with the other items from this range can makes for hours of fun - my son will disappear for ages and is happy recombining bits of the castle and coming up with loads of different scenarios - often based on the TV show Merlin!Lots of fun and well worth the money.
