Q: dont you think $300 is a little steep for 2 inch hi piece plastic ?

It was on a hell of sale when I bought mine for $149.99.

Q: Can you delay audio with this in the event theres a lip sync issue?

I'm not sure I'm not had that issue I have a smart TV I pluged it into my HDMI and it actually did everything by itself it started pairing soon as I plugged it in and turned it on I didn't have to do anything and I've not had that issue

Q: Does it sound good with dts brand like dts-hd master audio and dts-x, even it doesn’t support it?

Can't answer that question I have one Samsung's four case smart TVs when they first came out and actually it did everything for me so I really don't know what to say if it's not a smart TV If it is a smart TV you should not have any problems Use your HDMI cable

Sorry,i cant figure it out either. I have a perfectly working Hisense 55inch 4k tv now and bought this soundbar thinking you can just connect it andall the sounds they advertise will work fine. Well,never saw anywhere that the tv needed atmos in order to work..so I went and bought a new Hisense 4k tvwith Dolby Atmos(U6G) and I still cant get it to work on the soundbar..right cables,right places..etc Im not a rich fellow but i thought with these purchases, I would be set..nope..little upset about the whole ordeal.
