Do you have to spray it directly on the spider? Also, is it safe to spray on outdoor shrubs without harming them?

My conservatory used to be full of webs and spiders! I didn't spray it directly on the spider because they only come out at night, I sprayed it on the frame, in the morning it was like a spider grave yard! No spiders since and that was two months ago. My sprayer works fine. I can't recommend end this product enough. I wouldn't spray it on plants though, I don't mind spiders as long as they are outside! 

Will this kill brown recluse?

It didn’t kill any spiders I had. I doubt it’ll kill brown recluse
