Heavy duty clevis hitch
Bought this to throw in the truck in case I ever needed to pull a piece of equipment with a clevis hitch. Super heavy and meets the expectation of CURT quality. Works in my AG hitch in my 03 Chevy.

The Beast
This thing is heavy it’s built like a tank. It could pull the Queen Mary. I purchased this to connect to farm equipment. No doubt this will do the job.

Great hitch, Defiantly for the farm truck
This is a great hitch. I work with a multitude of 'hauled' implements and items (I would hardly call some of them towing) and this hitch does the job perfectly. The bar that goes into the receiver is solid steel, which is nice. It's that much more durable I suppose, but it does make this heavy--not a bad thing. The hitch also sticks out a ways from the receiver so, unlike most standard mounts, you can't just push it in and pin it, you need to line up the holes for the 5/8" bent pin. This hitch *can* be used to mount a ball on but, I wouldn't recommend it. First, that would be awfully awkward to work with and pull. Second, the holes are conical shaped; the hole diameter inside the legs is smaller than the outside diameter: Your ball could wobble (Unlikely if it's tightened correctly BUT, it's a possibility) or, just be too loose--not a good thing. The hitch came with a cheapy hitch-pin but, I replaced it with a 7/8" x 8" Double HH Red-top pin and it works great. [see: farm truck] The holes measure 1" so, a 1" hitch pin fits in but, that's as big as you'll get, that shouldn't be a problem for most though. The distance between the legs is 2-inches, as expected. If you need a bigger gap, I think there's another manufacturer that makes a clevis hitch with a wider leg spread but, at 2-inches, these legs should be spread plenty far to fit the load in for most tools. Also, from the front of the bar to the hole is 2-1/4" so, if the hole on your tongue is further back than that, it won't fit between the legs and be able to lock together.

Really nothing negative about it
Its very well built, extremally strong and the price was cheap for what you get. The paint is thick so it wont rust very quickly. Overall you get what you pay for.
