Barbie in Iris Apfel drag
I expected this to be a Barbie version of Iris Apfel. Not Barbie dressing up as Iris Apfel. It looks like a stupid sorority girl going to a costume party dressed as someone she knows everyone thinks is cool, but who she just doesn't quite 'get'.The doll has nothing of Iris's characteristic flair or joie de vivre. Or whatever you want to call it. Even the outfit, while supposedly 'styled' by Iris herself, is not one of her best ensembles. Too conservative and rendered rather cheaply. As though someone 'got the look' at JC Penney.This doll fails by trying to take the nuanced, complex and richly evolved aesthetic of a true visionary and dumb it down for mass consumption. What a shame that what I had expected would be an homage to this woman who so fully embraces life and who inspires people with her fearless, joyous self-expression, is destined to end up in a bin at a yard sale.

The doll was messed up
The box was oppenned before and there was signs of it. And box was damaged. Packaging was very light. It is a pricey doll and this is what customers get? And there was many quality issues regarding the doll. I uploaded a box oppening short video you can see all thereI was so happy when i received very shortly.So sorry for this.
