Targus VersaVu Classic Case for 11-Inch iPad Pro, Red (THZ74403GL)

After several years of hard use, my original Targus VersaVu cover was wearing out. I replaced it with a new one - exact same style - and my iPad is as good as new.This cover is very functional. The magnetic closure keeps it from opening unintentionally. There is a loop to store an apple pencil, but I usually just keep mine in the charging slot under the closure flap. The rotation feature is nice.My iPad has had a few drops and this cover has always protected it from damage. There is a rugged rubber shell surrounding the iPad preventing damage to the corners (the most vulnerable spot). Really, the only way to damage the iPad is if is dropped with the flap open and it happens to land upside down on some object (an unlikely scenario).

Lost * due to case breaking down after 1 to 2 years and requires buying a new one. This is my 3rd case now for this iPad. It tends to break down around the back bottom at triangle intersect (in landscape). When it breaks down it looses form/firmness to hold shape, so has trouble holding groves for angle in landscape and collapses to flat as it wears more it becomes much more noticeable/happening more often/easier. So longer you use worse it gets.

I love the elegant design of these Targus cases for iPad. This one (iPad 11 Pro) has all the high qualities of the other models I’ve owned (this is my 4th now). Its texture is soft to the touch, and still plenty firm around the extended edges to offer excellent defense if dropped (that’s experience talking!). The color/material seems completely resistant to marring by scrapes and heavy use. The magnetic flap closes confidently & securely every time and has never suffered any sign of physical wear at all on any of my others. An ideal deployment of engineering. (The Targus brand name paint HAS slowly worn away on my others, but that took over a year to begin and is inconsequential to me.) The 3 slots for angling the screen are a terrificly useful.

I ordered this for my iPad Pro 11 and it didn’t have the right size cutout for the camera because I have a third generation iPad. It is a fantastic high quality case. It has slots so your iPad sits in the upright position easily, and I love the 360 degree turn so you can view without turning the actual case, you just rotate the iPad. Just make sure you have the correct iPad for it to fit properly, I have to return mine for one that fits the third generation camera.

I had a Targus case on my 1st generation IPad Pro 12.9 and was very happy with it. I went with the Targus VersaView case again on my new IPad and I am please that the quality and fit is just as good. Would highly recommend.

I ordered the iPad mini version of this case for my iPad mini 5 after a different case that I had used for years began to show its wear & tear. What made me decide to try this one rather than just reorder the kind I had before was the idea of the 360 rotation and the overall high reviews. I made a big mistake in not listening to some of the negative reviews specifically for the iPad mini version.I absolutely hate this cover. I had hoped it was just that it was a new experience and I would get used to it, but I waited 5 days too long to try to return it and am stuck with it until I can budget to get a different one. I am kicking myself for that!Why do I hate this cover ? Let me count the ways…1. It is practically unusable in handheld format. There is no comfortable or logical way to fold the front cover behind the iPad to hold it in your hands. To do so leaves you with a bulky and unsteady grip that is miserable. How insane to have an iPad cover that renders it unusable in your hands!!2. The flap that wraps around the front of the iPad when it is closed sticks up in front of the screen when you have it propped up. You can try to tuck it down or crease it flat, but it will randomly pop back up in your way. It also gets in the way of typing no matter what you do with it.3. The grooves for angling the iPad when standing it up do NOTHING. They do not keep it up. So the only thing keeping my iPad from slipping down IS the aforementioned stupid flap, and even then it still routinely collapses.4. Even if the grooves DID keep the iPad up, there is no way to get it to a reasonable angle (flatter) to make it usable from a desk position. All of the angle options (if they worked) are too upright.5. The 360 degree rotation is clunky. I always feel like I might be about to break it because of how hard I have to turn it.6. The same issue regarding angles applies in portrait mode.7. There is no holder for my Apple Pencil.8. I mostly use my iPad to work one-handed while nursing my baby. Forget doing anything one-handed with this useless case! I can’t tell you how many times a day it falls down, slips from my hands, tips over, and just completely gets in my way. It has made everything I loved about using my iPad a headache.I could go on and on about how horrible this case is, but hopefully I have given you a clearer picture with the specifics above. Normally I try to list any pros to go with the cons even on products I don’t like, but I hate this so much that I can’t even think of any! I mean, it fits the iPad mini 5. There. That’s all the niceness I can muster up.I am counting the pennies until I can order a different case because this one is a source of daily frustration. Please, please, PLEASE do not be deceived by the high ratings on this product listing! Maybe some of the models are great, but the one for the iPad mini is TRASH!
