Just love legere !
I love these reeds, instantly available and hardier than traditional reeds. Great tone and even though they are expensive as such...they way outlast reeds so they aren't really expensive at all. No more bemoaning the demise of a favourite reed...these are good to players every time . Also....no roughed up lip after a long play !

Almost ditched natural reeds!
I'd bought an alto one of these first and struggled with the low and high notes. Shortly after buying it the playing end began to disintegrate. A friend said I should give it a second go. I'm so glad I did! This tenor one came in a substantial protective box (the alto was stuck to a piece of card...wondering if the end was damaged now. Just sent it back.) and it played beautifully from the off! I find a natural reed that has softened with playing for a couple of hours usually fails on high and low notes. This baby just plays and plays! I play on a Jodie Jazz New York metal mouth piece and 2.5 VD Java red on both my saxes. I've used the online table which recommends a 2.25 strength. Perfect! I agree with other players comments that you get a slightly brighter sound, but it is really marginal. Totally worth it for the reliability. No panicking about which reeds to take to a gig, when we start playing in public again. I will just be bringing this and a backup!(Just got a new alto one and it is now sold in a box! It also plays properly, like the tenor.)

Good consistent reed
This is good quality and really consistent for practice or if you're in a situation where you need to swap instruments and it may be left on the stand, as it doesn't dry out and is quite responsive without warming up too much. The downside is the tone is quite bright, it can't replace a cane reed but that is a matter of personal taste. It is worth trying out and keeping in your case as a back up

Perfect aide to consistency when learning.
As a beginner this thing has been a godsend. It’s perhaps a little brighter than the cane reeds I’ve tried before, but I don’t care. The fact that it plays the same every time I strap it to my mouthpiece is invaluable as a complete beginner.Being brand new to woodwind and self taught, it’s impossible for me to tell if a cane reed is bad, or if I’m just playing bad. Is the reed too wet, too dry, worn out, or just a bad reed to begin with? Or did I unconsciously change my embouchure? I have no idea. I don’t know enough to know. Those elements of doubt are removed with a synthetic reed, and that allows me to focus 100% on improving my technique. It is quite expensive, but the thing is near indestructible. Well worth the price.

Excellent......Farewell Vandoren!
My first ever Legere synthetic reed arrived on the 17th and after playing it for just 2 days, I will never go back to playing cane reeds again. These reeds are brilliant......you don't have to worry about wetting it, just put it on the mouthpiece and start blowingI play a Meyer 6* mouthpiece and I love the tone this reed gives me. It doesn't sound 'plasticy' at all. I normally play a 2.5 Vanhoren for practice and 3.0 for gigs, but followed advice and bought a 2.25 and find this easier to play throughout the range of notes5 stars all the way!

Well impressed with new reed!
Wow! Im delighted to say that this reed is fantastic! It certainky brightens up the tone. Was unsure if i liked it at first....but after an hour of playing it, i soon felt it was the right move to make in purchasing.I normally play using a 2.0 cane plasticoat reed (which i must say that i think are very good)... however...i much prefere the new legere 2.25 and is much easier to ply too!Id highly recomend them..certainly not dissappointed

It played well straight out of the box
The reed played well straight out of the box. This is my first non- cane reed. I travel a lot and keeping a reed in good condition is a challenge, so this would appear to be an ideal alternative

Impressed
I seem to suffer from soggy reed syndrome on my tenor, couldn't figure out if it was me or my Yam 4c, after 10 mins playing I have to change reed, I've tried different types,Rico ,Java etc ,using Legere problem solved, superb, good tone, quick wash after use, dry and leave on mouthpiece for next time.

excellent it outlasts normal reeds and is moire durable
excellent it outlasts normal reeds and is moire durable. it takes a little time to get used to the texture under the tongue but works well.. the sound is a bit brighter than a traditional reed.

So far so good
Arrived on time, and so far so good. Too early to tell if I’m a true convert to plastic reeds, but liking it at the moment

£26 for one reed???? Seriously!?.?
I paid £26 for what I thought was a box of 10 reeds. There was only one reed in the box!
