Q: Will this be good enough to return my old passport in?

Yes - a UK passport will fit in comfortably and the hard cardboard will provide enough protection in the post

Q: What is the weight of a single envelope?

Minute!! I send cigarette cards padded in more card and all taped up for first class letter post cost without any problem

Q: Are the envelopes sent in adequate packaging to prevent damage? I had to return some from another seller due to half being damaged in transit!

Yes... smaller quantities (~100) were sent in a plastic sack that was heavily taped. Larger quantities (200) were sent in a cardboard box that protected the envelopes adequately. I haven't received any particularly damaged envelopes from this company.
