I wish that I'd been there...
I saw Bowie in 1973 at the height of his Ziggy phase in all of his pomp. He was totally brilliant- both as a singer and a performer. Although, I saw him a few years later when he was ravaged by drugs( I wished I hadn't as he was as dire as he was perfection the first time around), I've seen various performances throughout the years on VHS or DVD. Most were ok, some were mediocre, but every one I watched never reached those early 1970s height. But when I saw this on the BBC iPlayer, I was rooted to my settee. Oh my God the man looked as good as ever, sounded as good as he's ever been and looked sooooooo cool to boot. The set was awesome - Life on Mars actually sounded as if it was lifted fresh from Hunky Dory- and the backing band were musically tight and true to the original music as I hate the way some musicians try to take over the show with their own interpretations( or should that be egos) of well known songs. Beautifully filmed too capturing the whole atmosphere of Bowie and his audience. One of the best concerts I've seen in years and I am I incredibly jealous of people who were there. How I wished I had been in Glastonbury that year.I could have taken a star off as he did not perform Suffragette City nor Jean Genie. But hey this Bowie. We forgive him. We love him. We miss him.

Sublime Bowie
Looking back on this now, it's hard not to get emotional watching the DVD of the concert. When Bowie first walks on he looks as cool (at age 53) as any rock star I've seen, and then delivers a stunning show. Highlights are many, but I love "Wild is the Wind" and "Ashes to Ashes" and and and..... there isn't a bad track.Bowie is helped by having a great band. Gail Ann Dorsey on bass and vocals (notably on Under Pressure), Earl Slick and Mark Plati on Guitars, Sterling Campbell on Drums and the virtuoso Mike Garson on Piano and keyboards. He plays the opening Jazz piano Greensleeves just before Bowie comes on stage. The CDs are great, but the DVD is real reason to buy this set. To see and hear Bowie, this good (in fact great) in the Autumn of his career shouldn't be missed.

Relived the night again.......... and will do so again and again!
Having been at Glastonbury in 2000 to see David, I was so chuffed to read a few months back that the concert was being released on all formats in its entirety for the very first time. I placed an advance order with Amazon UK for the CD/DVD boxed set due for release 30 November 2018. Imagine my surprise when a courier turned up on the morning of the 30th with my box set.It is now a day later and I have watched the concert twice on DVD so far.......and the memories all came flooding back of that night (and indeed the other times I had seen David in concert, both here in the UK and in USA too.I hope it brings others the same kind of memories of an incredible talent that is gone forever. In my opinion the sound quality is great especially if fed through an advanced sound system......and as you expect from a BBC production, the images are of a professional standard.

Top Of The World !.
I worried wether David Bowie, without major sets and models, could fill the dizzy heights of the The Pyramid Stage.Could he. Did he. Oh Yes, and then some. With one jacket change and a bottle of water for a prop , to intro Heroes. He was at his shimmering best. Loving the crowd, loving the band and looking like he really enjoyed himself. The set list is tight and from across the decades. Thank you David Bowie for this DVD. Thank you for the memory of who you were and what you meant to millions of fans. You are in for a treat.... don't let me spoil it for you.

One of the best live performances of the late great Thin White Duke.
I remember watching the BBC broadcast which of course was edited but I did get a bootleg of the whole show which was a mix of radio and audience recording. This was back in the days of Napster! To finally have this is a hot and it’s well worth it. The performance is stellar one of the best if not the best recording of a Bowie concert. I think he became a better live performer in those last 5-6 years of his touring career. It’s the perfect greatest hits set list.

Great Album from a Great Night
David Bowie showing he was the best of performers and one of the greatest artists of his time, on possibly the most iconic stage of all, the universal appeal of Glastonbury as venue for all was best shown here.

Perfect gig
I loved this item, having the full gig both on cd and dvd. I have watched it many times. The packaging is so well put together. Well worth the money to have one of Bowie's best set list.
