Darice Plastic Storage Tube Clear 2-7/8" 6/Pkg

These little guys are perfect for storing my tapestry needles! They’re long enough and large enough to store several needles and they fit in my other crochet doo-dads container.Nothing else to say, really. I suppose if you stepped on one you might break it, but I’m not willing to try that! Haha

I purchased this to outfit an earthquake preparedness bag. I was looking for a small plastic vial, preferably waterproof, to hold small things, like pills & sewing needles. Volume & weight are a concern when you're expecting you may have to escape through a third-storey window (especially if you tend to over-prepare).So these were PERFECT.The caps SCREW ON, which secures them well. The tops also have fairly sizable closed loops, for tying or carabinering to a strap or handle. The vials themselves are larger in diameter than they seemed in the photos, but not TOO large, which is great. I was able to fill 1 vial with 14 Aleves, another with 15 Ibuprofen, & a third with 50 low-dose aspirin, which is perfect for my needs. I have plenty of room for the sewing needles I may need for patching torn clothes or closing a laceration.These would do well for holding matches, beads, picnic salt-&-pepper, extra mechanical pencil leads, or any number of things.They are PLASTIC vials, so on one hand they won't shatter like glass would, but they likely will break if stepped on. But plastic is not only less fragile, but light.So, well-priced, arrived fast, HUGE use applications, screw-tops WITH LOOP; highly recommended!

My family and I travel a lot, and I bought these to store needles and pins in a small travel sewing kit to prevent any mishaps. The tubes are fairly small and do not hold a lot, but the plastic body seems reasonably sturdy and the screw-on caps are quite secure. Perfect for my needs.

Nice pill fob. Big enough for even the large vitamin-sized pills. Keep the outside out with a 1/2" ID o-ring around the neck of the tube. Not as easy to keep liquids inside, because the black cap has divots in the plastic interior where the loop attaches. You'd need some silicone caulk to fill the divots, then a 1/2" silicone rubber gasket.BTW, the given dimensions of the tube (2-7/8" x 3/8") are for the inside. Exterior measurements are 2-15/16" x 5/8". With the cap on it's 3" long from the flat of the cap to the bottom. The loop adds 1/2".

these are perfect for what I wanted them for, and they ARE water proof, I tested myself and I now use them to carry hot sauce and red pepper flakes and coolaid mix and an energy shot, the 5th will be filled with Carolina reaper chili powder once that arrives, but to recap they can hold dry substances with out them getting wet when submerged and can hold wet things such as hot sauce and water with ought leaking (as you can see it holds it all quite nicely) . I just took all that stuff and thru them on m key chain so now I will always have them, they are sturdy. I'm going to buy a ton more of these little guys. the full length is about the size of my 3rd finger. note I have slightly large hands.

THE PRODUCT IS FINE BUT THE MEASUREMENTS AREN'T CORRECT. THEY ARE 2-7/8" X 5/8" AND NOT 3/8"

I used it for storing Tylenol pills, screwdriver bits, and sewing needles on the go. Helps me keep track of small parts that would otherwise disappear in a backpack. You can also use a small carabiner/split ring and put in on your keychain if that tickles your fancy. Kept one in a hot truck all summer and it's still good as new. No issues with the screw on top or cracking. Would definitely buy again.

A couple of the tubes were cracked upon delivery, but I'm assuming this was of fault to the delivery service itself. Otherwise the tubes that aren't cracked work as intended.
