This Tap is Chrome plated on plastic to keep weight down.

Q: the tap ends of our bathroom vanity tap are smooth, this picture shows ridge ends how do we go about fitting it ?

The pipe ends push fit into the hot and cold water feeds. The ridges are there to give extra watertight fitting and then jubilee clips are used to tighten the feed pipes to the tap pipes. Just a little note, the ridges on the tap pipes I got were just a little too wide to push into the feed pipes, so I filed them down so that they pushed into the feed pipes easier. A little washing up liquid on the ridges helps to push them on. Hope this helps you.
