I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! STILL IN SHOCK...
I swear I only started writing reviews after other people who have saved my butt!!!! Have a 2001 MXZ800 that I bought used and had nothing but problems!!!! After a bunch of time and money I went to FINALLY ride it last year for the first time ever! Fresh deep snow and this thing doesn't want to fire up after running perfect all summer. The recoil breaks! I stayed out in the dark for hours with a flashlight and some rope . It starts to catch and on one last pull it roars and I am ready with the throttle and off we go! ONLY we ain't going great at ALL, it was like only one cylinder was firing, very erratic response and as I went around the lights ALL go out while I'm full tilt, then they come right back on. Now the sled just starts bogging worse and finally quits. Tried pulling back over, the dash/headlights won't even come on when I pull it. That was about the end of this story. It sat in a dark corner forgotten until this year when I decided yet again to take another shot at it before I BURNED IT!!!! LOL. it's a used sled and I'm not paying somebody else to do what I can. After a million opinions and a sled with costly complicated electronics - I went with the simplest solution working from the plugs back for spark issues. I came to Amazon to get a voltage regulator. I found this one and looked at the cheap price. From China. I wondered...then I read a review that described the lighting/running type of issues I was having that seemed to be throwing people for a loop to figure out. He bought one and it cured his sled. I immediately bought one and after 2yrs and 2 day delivery - MY SLED IS THE BADDEST THING ON THE SNOW!!!! WOW, IS THIS WHAT IT'S REALLY LIKE?!?!? The cheapest thing I have bought for this snowmobile that made the BIGGEST difference yet!!!!!! Thank u to the last reviewer for Ur time and help!!!!
