I like what I have gotten from this product. So far, so good!!
I still have to practice proper breath support and embouchure control. Make sure my technique is in order, making sure I hold the clarinet at the right angle, covering the tone holes where no air leaks out, etc. All the basic stuff has to be applied. But with these Legere synthetic reeds I'm able to play and sound much better on a consistent basis than when I used cane reeds. I hope I never have to worry again about working a reed so it can play better. Sometimes that whole process was a nightmare.

Get a smaller number than you think!
I love mine, although I got the wrong strength at first. I had to get a full number lower than the wooden reed that I normally use. When I got the right one, I find it is lasting a long time and sounds great!

Works well, but touchy
Before hammering on the defaults of this reed, I think I should first state that it plays decently. It does a decent job, and definitely allows playing, but it is a little touchy. It tends to want to squawk on the start of notes a little more than cane reeds. One other thing that could possibly be improved on, is the edge of the reeds is a sharp 90 degree plastic edge, which can be really hard on the lips. I don't know if this would affect the sound quality, but I feel like fille it would be better if the edge had a small chamfer or bevel. The reeds are not all bad though, it is very nice to just throw these on in the cold, or in a bind, and just know it will play exactly like the last time it played. The sound on these is a little more "buzzy" than a cane reed, which might be nice for jazzy players. however, the buzz is less noticeable in higher notes. All in all, if it lasts long, it is worth it. For example, when I grabbed my clarinet during a fire drill, I was able to confidently slap this reed on, and play out in the humidity and cold, confident that this reed would play just fine. All in all, it depends what you are looking for.

good overall
legere is one of many trusted makers of synthetic reeds. they are responsive and good quality. it is easy to play as you don’t need to break them in and the tone is nice. sizing and reed strength as well as fit will be the same as a cane reed.
