Q: What is the max weight of the person for the chair?

It says 800lbs, but keep in mind that is for stationary weight. Actually use weight will be lower. However, I'm 6' 8" and over 400 lbs, so I am pretty rough on furniture, and this thing has stood up to me for years.

Q: Is this chair too heavy ? I get the durability but portability is also important for me. Please advise. Thanks.

Well they give the weight, but it is a choice as i am 325 and destroyed every chair to one degree or another until i bought this chair about 5 years ago. I guess an equally meaningful query would be, "How much do you need this chair." Can you find a chair that weighs less that will meet your needs? I have found one large issue is finding a flat surface and how this chairs sturdy construction allows it too survive where all others seem to fail. I put a premium on having a chair instead of a twisted pile of junk to sit on so for me the weight or added weight 3lb or even 5lb just is not an issue and we are talking the former relative to other high capacity chairs.

Q: What are the measurements after folding? I am wondering about taking two in a suitcase.

I have the folding chair, it has a travel bag and I can check the bag and chair in when traveling on airplanes. Any bag can be checked in. I have brought a bat bag onto a plane. Parents have multiple items they can bring on for their little children. My walking sticks fit into a suitcase as well.
