I have no problem sleeping, however, i do have a problem waking up around the 4 hr mark and find falling back asleep very difficult. could these help

Dear Re-Timer Customer,

Thank you for contacting us. 
Re-Timer is designed to help shift your body clock either forward or backwards, depending on when you sleep. If your body clock is consistently waking you up in the early hours of the morning, this could indicate that your body clock needs to be shift forwards slightly to match your desired wake up time instead. For example: You wake up consistently at 3am in the morning but want to wake up at 6am instead, this requires a 3hour body clock shift forwards. To do with Re-Timer, you would wear Re-Timer progressively later in the hours of the evening to achieve this shift.

Continuing the example with a wake up time of 3am: Your body clock could be wanting you to go the sleep around the hours of 7-9pm, but you actually go to sleep at 10pm (hence no issue with falling asleep), therefore you would start using Re-Timer at 7pm on the first day and 30minutes later each day after (7:30pm, 8pm, 8:30pm, etc) until one hour after your bed time with using Re-Timer at 11pm on the last day.

Question 3

My head is really small and narrow.  when i put these on, they do not even come close to my ears so they just fall off.  any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that Re-Timer is a little large. We did design Re-Timer to fit the majority of human head size with research found from median measurements around the world. However that does mean there will be persons, like your self it seems, outside these size limits, where Re-Timer will not fit quite right.

There isn't much we can offer to make it smaller for you, but we have has good success with other customers doing to following.

1. Re-Timer can be worn over the top of reading glasses, so we have has customers attach Re-Timer to their reading glasses that do fit their face to help keep them on. 
2. Attaching a string or/ glasses neck string to the arms and tightening it at the back of your head. To assist keeping Re-Timer more secure on your head can help also.

So you're just supposed to go about your day with these on? How does that work, exactly?

My daughter used re-timer Light therapy glasses in conjunction with recommendations from her sleep doctor.  The doctor took data and did analysis on her sleep patterns.  She was evaluated for sleep disorders.  Eventually circadian rhythm problem was identified.  The Re-timer Glasses help reset and normalize the sleep cycle.  My daughter only wears the glasses from 8-8:30 am.  She also had to alter her sleep cycle by going to bed at the same time every night and waking the same time.  The hours of sleep were determined by the doctor.  Theses glasses work best after a sleep evaluation to identify the reason for sleep problems. I think the website for Re-Timers also talks about different ways the glasses can help reset sleep patterns (i.e. jet lag).
