It is not hard to inflate at all. Everytime I use it at the beach IIsimply open it and let the breeze fill it.... this item is to inflate in places there no outlet for pumps... it's the whole point of it lol

Q: Do you have to remove the "Plastic Bag" inside the tubes?

The outer material is structurally designed to hold 500-550 pounds. So the outside material is for bearing weight, inside for holding air.
