A good read
A very good read about the life of achievements of shah of Iran and the subsequent fall of the shah and the monarchy in Iran due to the revolution.

A worthy book.
What a refreshing book for a change about a man that cared for his country.Unlike some comic books out there that degrade the truth and bury it in false propaganda that started this so-called "revolution" in the first place. A must read for those that want to understand Iran.

As good as Oil Kings
Great book, strongly recommend to everyone who is interested in Iranian/Middle Eastern history. Scott's book is very well researched and delivers a good sense of how life was in Iran (especially Tehran) prior to the revolution. It gives a very interesting account of Musa Sadr, is not shy to praise the numerous achievements of the Shah, emphasizes the foreign, especially Arab/Palestinian involvement in the revolution, etc. This books confirms that the Islamic movement came not as a surprise and that the revolution was not inevitable, but the people in charge were too hesitant...

Truly investigated and an eye opening book, even though ...
Truly investigated and an eye opening book , even though still leaves you with some unknown dark side that obviously controlled and fuelled the revolution... I guess we will need more years to wait to know who they were and why they did it !!..
