Climbing Clematis Plant Winter Flowering Evergreen for Outdoors Producing White Bell Shaped Flowers, 1 x Clematis Winter Beauty Plant in 7cm Pot by Thompson & Morgan

I wasn't really sure what to expect and when I received the plant I was a bit dubious as it was tiny and little more than a twig with a leaf on it, but I planted it and put up a obelisk for it to grow up and crossed my fingers. I have not been disappointed, talk about from little acorns, it is growing extremely well and has climbed to the top of the obelisk and is starting it's way back down and out - it's winter flowering so I can't say anything about it's flowering abilities, but I'm hoping given how much it's grown that by the time it hits its flowering season, it will produce lots of lovely white flowers for a bit of winter cheer.

My plant arrived on time and was well packaged. Not sure how well it will grow as it's just one spindly stem with a couple of withering leaves. Hopefully it takes well

Very sadly this fragile and tiny little plant must have been traumatised in transit and has not survived, I tried very hard to make it perk up but failed.I would very much like to order another because I am really wanting this particular clematis for my garden as it is evergreen and fragrant.

Ordered these as smaller pots are much easier to plant out than large ones and the plants establish better.The packaging was cleverly designed to protect the pots and plants, to keep in the moisture and easy to rip apart the studs on the plastic to access.The roots were evidence that the plants were well established yet were not totally root bound as we often find. One was beginning to wrap around the pot yet easy to separate for planting, and the other healthy and with space.No evidence of disease.We bought them for a new fairly sheltered spot in the garden where new trellis is designed to keep the wind off us while sitting in our small shelter, in spring. The fence is not far but a trellis breaks the flow of air all the same. With the extremes of weather, we have been redesigning our very small garden with a variety of seating areas giving both shade and sun options as we are close to the sea gales, and need wind barriers. We removed our excellent 15 foot golden bamboo before we got too old to control it! Now we can look forward to Winter Beauty.

Having ordered two plants as a present for my neighbour, who is a gardener, I am sorry to say that one of them is not very well at all. One is flourishing but the other isn't. They have both been treated the same in potting them up and one is looking good and the other has little or no life in it.

Plants arrived well packed and healthy.As directed, I left them in their pots to acclimatise outside but on shelf under some cover. They grew fast and thrived.Planted out after a few weeks and they are now almost dead and chewed to nothing. One back in pot and under cover again is starting to regrow from base, other struggles on.Clearly not suited to my tiny garden and sloppy gardening. Such a shame to lose them but cannot spend further on replacing.Sadly both died. I am tempted to try again, but not sure I can afford to waste my money as I have no idea what went wrong so fast.
