This brush is of good quality. It holds up well for lots of regular brushing. It works fairly good for very long hair (to my waist). I think with any pure boar bristle brush, there's just gonna be limitations, though. I am so used to bristles going thru the thickness of my hair, down to my scalp, and brushing through the entire length. But boar bristles are just never gonna be strong enough to do that. So it's been an adjustment for sure. This was my 5th boar bristle brush purchase (been using BBBs for 3+ years now). My 4th one is still the best when it comes to bristle strength. But I definitely like the body of this brush. The handle is not ergonomic so it slips a bit when trying to hold the brush going through my hair. While I have seen several bristles fall out when cleaning it, it doesn't seem like enough to compromise it's intended use over the next few years. The cleaning process, however, is easier than with other wood bodied brushes. In hindsight, I would not have purchased this, as the bristle strength is superior the 100% Pure Calcutta Wild Boar Bristle Hair Brush that I purchased prior. But it still gets used and it is a nice brush. Probably for NOT super long hair.

So for what it is- it's a good brush. However, I got it because I needed something with thicker, sturdier bristles to get through my thick hair and onto my scalp. I actually found this brush's bristles to be softer that another boar bristle brush I own. It's disappointing but I will still use this brush and continue my search for something better.

...so you can hang it up to dry after washing it. But it works great for natural hair care on my 3c curly hair!

Sturdy, solid shaped handle and rounded bristle layout. Bristles are firm with just enough give. Havent lost any from the head in a month of light use

This is a great brush! I have a lot of fine 2A wavy hair and the bristles on this brush are firm enough to get through it all and reach my scalp which was a problem with other BB brushes I’ve tried before. The bristles are very firm so they may be too much for someone with sensitive skin or very fine hair but I love the sensation myself. I have dandruff flair ups from time to time and this brush does a beautiful job of removing buildup from my scalp while leaving my hair shiny and soft. I decided to buy this brush based on the handle being made of plastic instead of wood. Every wood brush I’ve owned in the past has met with a tragic end but this baby is made so well I expect it to last for an incredibly long time.

Very happy with durability of this brush. Hubby says it's hard to part his hair with it, but he likes it for his and our daughters fine, somewhat thin hair. My hair is extremely thick (almost 5" pony tail circumference). The only thing I use this brush for is when I am needing to move sebum down the shaft of my hair. I use Everyone Soap (no conditioner) and coconut oil after shower. Honestly my Bass wood toothed brush works a lot better on my thick hair than this one, so again, I only use it on occasion if my ends dont get enough coconut oil or something. Otherwise it will frizz out my wavy hair and take forever to go section by section through all of it.

Works well for a boar bristle brush but doesn’t get through large sections of hair. It is a bit of a pain to separate all of my hair into small sections so I gravitate towards my boar bristle with nylon bristles.

I have medium length thick hair. I bought this brush to help my transition to the "no-poo" method of not washing my hair. It works great, but I have to section my hair into 1-inch sections in order for the brush to actually catch any of my hair and not just glide over the top.It leaves my hair a bit static after use, but not so bad that it's unmanageable.

The bristles are very hard and not comfortable to use.
