Bought this as a replacement for the old ladder.
Well made unit,and even though it is a well built and clever installation design ,it is a two man job to fit,which is what I still have to do.

Very good
Firstly, I bought this on the Sunday with the earliest delivery date of the following Monday and it arrived within 3 days. Very goodIt came very well protected. Corner protectors and a piece of hardboard covered the face of the actual hatch (the hardboard came in handy when packing out any voids).When it came to fitting I separated the outer frame from everything else. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone if you are not hands on in general. If you are then simply pull off the springs with some grips or a trampoline spring puller. Then the rest is easy.The advantage of this is you can easily handle the frame into place as it is very light. Then re attach the rest from within the loft. It also minimises the risk of damaging the loft hatch face whilst tweeking the frame.Once the frame is is place and the hatch back on it may need adjustment as mine did. The problem is the timbers in a loft/ ceiling are pretty rough.On the whole this is a good product. The hole in the Ceiling was adapted to size and it was fitted in 3 hours. I still need to make a couple of tweaks and adapt the ladder to size but the hard part is complete

I love it....but....
This is a fab stair. We had joiners coming in to fit it as they did work on our attic. We needed the joiners to do it. They needed to mend the hole for the opening stick to go into. It was off centre. They did a repair to make it work.The stair itself is fab. Love the quality and the safety rail.It does, however, need to be fitted by joiners.

2 Person Fix
Excellent set of steps, with a nice wide tread which makes it very easy to ascend and descend.The carcass could be a little wider to allow foe margin when fitting architrave.
