Fun build. The markings on some of the pieces were somewhat faded so that added a slight headache but overall not bad. Completed In 3 days, could’ve been 24 hours but I had a thrombosed hemorrhoid the day before so my doctor told me to take it easy. I did it by myself so it’s definitely doable for the average person. I was in the space force but that doesn’t change how I feel about it’s overall feasibility. 9/10 . I did think it came with mattresses though 😂

Best To Avoid This One, Not Worth It
I can't recommend this bed at all.It was a nightmare to put together. There are several hundred pieces, all of which are marked with cheap stickers that had either come off and were loose in the box or were faded or rubbed off so you could not read them. It comes in three boxes, and each box was packed with only efficiency of packing and shipping in mind--no thought whatsoever was put into the order in which you will assemble the bed. That means that for every single step of the bad instructions, you have to dig through all three boxes looking for obscure parts that often look similar to other parts that you definitely better not use or the bed won't work. I suppose you could pull all of the parts out and organize them by type first, provided you have several moderately sized empty rooms to arrange it all in while you build somewhere else.Once we got it together after an all day fiasco, the bed wobbles and feels a little unsecure. Everything is as tight as it can be; it's just a cheap bed with parts that are too thin for a solid final product. The drawers don't slide in and out smoothly--to the point where a kid might not be able to open them or close them all the way.The futon couch mechanism is rudimentary and doesn't work well. It will slide back easily, but doesn't want to slide forward into the flat position afterward. There is no grip or handle for raising the futon into the couch position, which means you have to climb all over the futon and reach way over while seated in the middle area to lift it and hope you don't topple over and drop it in the process. For some reason I'll never understand, they provide plenty of full slats for the top bunk, but not even half as many as you'll actually need for the half-slats that make up the bottom bunk. Even with the quality futon mattress we put on the bottom, it's incredibly uncomfortable and feels like we're going to fall through the gaps. It's painted with some misguided clear coat that scuffs very easily. The slightest contact leaves a big white streak that won't buff out.At the end of the day, it was too much of a pain to build, so there's no way I'm disassembling it and sending it back. I'll just have to try to modify it with additional parts I'll acquire myself to somehow to fix all of the many poorly thought out aspects of it.The only reason it got two stars instead of one is that it looks cool. I guess if you don't intend to actually use it for anything, you might buy it and pay some one else to put it together for you.Don't buy this bed.

Beautiful bed.
So so many pieces. A task putting it together. I suggest following the instructions and examining them thoroughly. Very easy to put the parts together wrong. Pay close attention. My boys love it. The steps are sturdy and safe for my 3 year old to go up and down. The drawers are difficult to slide in and out.
