Great to get started learning
The multimeter works perfectly well, and the arduino board is proving to be a staple in learning the basics in the world of electronics. It's worth every penny in my opinion. I found all the different parts well organized inside a small container. I was concerned since there were soany parts it would be a mess to organize, but all the parts were separated by bags and made for efficient preparing.

Kit
Since I know nothing about electronics, I thought this would be good to have. It's a lovely kit if you're like to learn new things and keep life interesting. Quite fun.

Perfect into kit to electronics and Arduino
This is a very comprehensive introduction kit. Nicely packaged in a somewhat small box; great for gift giving.First let me say that I REALLY appreciate the full color written booklet that accompanies the kit. It provides a brief explanation of each of the components and then begins with each of the exercises. I would expect many vendors these days to skip this and go straight to an online resource. The detailed colored pictures of each lesson clearly demonstrate the connections that are needed for each exercise. What you need: Keep in mind that you need internet access to read the complete project lessons online. The booklet itself will show completed connections, but the explanations of what is going, how to program the Arduino, require reading their online guide. The online guide also provides a detailed explanation of how to use the components and tools such as the multimeter. The online guide is very extensive and well written. The benefit of it being online is that it can be updated as needed. You’ll also need a computer with a USB port to program the Arduino. The multimeter while inexpensive feeling, functions well. The kit is very complete, even including 9 volt battery!Beyond the components, what you are buying is training and education. Someone has spent quite a bit of time thoughtfully writing the lessons, booklet, online training. Don’t underestimate the value of these tools and references. SunFounder (the provider of this kit) has a large website with lots of resources, additional components, and lots of other kits and training available. The lessons were clear and easy to follow with close up color illustrations which really make assembly of the lessons much easier. They explain variations of the project to try and probing questions to try to answer based on the learning exercise (such as reversing pins, changing resistance, etc). I didn’t seen anywhere where they provide answers to the questions they pose in the exercises. It would be nice if they provided the answers somewhere.

A little advanced for a beginner but educational and fun indeed
I'm not the type of person who know much about circuit boards or electrical stuff, so I decided to challenge myself and learn something new. It's a little bit of a learning curve for me, but I can say that the kit has a lot of things to create different types of inventions. I love that products like this exist to give people affordable activities that support learning and don't break the bank. It's getting more and more fun the more I learn.

Extremely fascinating hands-on learning through making it yourself!
This science set is packed with over 310 parts! Everything is well organized in the box and many items are packaged together in sealed plastic bags. It looks intimidating at first before you know what to do with it, but that’s what this set is for! To help you learn how to do all these things! In the description, they say this is for kids 8 years and up. But I wouldn’t even call this a “kid’s toy”. First of all, teens and adults of any age would love this as much as kids because it is so intriguing and is a subject many of us know little about. Second of all, I don’t think this is a “toy” in any sense, it’s really an amazing hands-on educational tool! This would be fantastic for home-schooling or really for anyone interested in how circuits and electronics work. It has more information than many college courses I’ve taken! The “Handbook” that comes with the kit has 58 pages! It is well-organized by Lesson and is written in good English by a native speaker. It is filled with clear explanations, color pictures, charts, and spaces for you to fill in your answers and write about your experiences. It’s really partially a textbook and partially a workbook. Everything is laid out and explained so clearly that a beginner who knows absolutely nothing about this subject can start from zero and learn everything step-by-step until reaching an advanced understanding! Here's an example of some of the Lessons included: Dimmable Desk Lamp, Stopwatch, Cyber Dice, Blinking LED, Traffic Light, Morse Code, Smart Trash Can, Siren, Fan, Temperature Alarm, Joystick LED Navigator, Timer, Reverse Radar System, and Plant Monitor. You can learn more about this kit at inventor-lab-kit.rtfd.io. I would imagine that once a student goes through all of these Lessons, he or she could apply this knowledge to many other gadgets and processes and perhaps even invent new products!
