Awesome for sensitive skin
At first, I wasn't crazy about this razor. BUT I will say that I've been using disposable dermaplane razors since high school. I don't use them as often as I'd like to because I always break out. Some times a little bit and some times a lot. BUT with these... maybe it's the red light therapy? but my skin is crystal clear the day afterwards! Which is a miracle, in itself. At first I wasn't crazy about the razor because I do feel I have to be more careful with this razor compared to others. The tip is oddly shaped. It's very sharp and I feel it could easily cut you (although I have yet to cut myself.) The handle can move which is helpful when I do my upper neck/under my ear area. But it is an awkward blade in that it feels a bit harder to maneuver compared to disposable dermaplane razors. However, the fact that I do not break out at all after using this razor... beats all the cons this razor has. I would happily reorder this again! If you break out because of dermaplane razors... I can 100% recommend this one!! If you don't usually break out after shaving your face... I would probably look elsewhere for a more comfortable shave.

do I want a red light so close to my eyes?
This is a review of JAPONESQUE SKINTherapy LumeBlade Facial Dermaplane Razor with Soothing, Red Light Therapy at the Blade, Includes 2 Replacement Blades This is an attractive device. It is rechargeable, which is particularly nice because you need to be very delicate when using it and a cord clanking around could hinder that. Note that only the red light needs charging — the razor itself is a regular, non-moving dermablade. The razor comes with two replacement blades, which I truly appreciate. It also comes with a special cap that effectively shortens the blade for when you work in smaller, more delicate areas. I really like that. The top of the wand can tilt back a bit, which makes it easier to use than if it remained straight. Though the listing says replacement blades are available, I have not found them (even on the Japonesque website), though it is a new product so maybe those new blades will become available soon. It seems to efficient being able to use red light therapy on the face while also removing unwanted hair, though I realized that I might not want red light so close to my open eyes. I do not know what the wavelength of this red light is. Therefore, I wear some of those glasses you wear during red light therapy treatments, though the glasses make it harder to see. Actually, those glasses are probably not necessary since the plastic cover over the red light probably limits the effect of the light on the eyes. But I have had serious eye issues in the past so I am super careful. I wish the listing had offered information about the red light. In summary, a nice device with that tiltable head, ability to shorten the blade, extra blades, and red light. The listing says there are replacement blades to buy separately (but I couldn’t find them), and it might be just as easier, or easier, to use a separate red light device. Though the device works, I prefer to use a regular dermaplane and a separate red light device for my face.

This was a no for me.
I am not sure why these two devices are together. When I dermaplane my face, it does not take that long. For me to receive benefits from the red light therapy, I have to spend a considerable amount of time using this on my face. The dermaplane is fine. I just don’t think this is a good combo. I prefer a red light therapy mask, but if you cannot afford one of those, I prefer a larger wand that has more lights and treats more area at a time. This wand is too small and has too few lights for it to be of benefit to me. Takes too much time.

Good tool
Update-after using this for several weeks, I feel like the blade is not as sharp as I would like. I prefer super, sharp razors and I feel like I'm having to push down harder to get a smoother shave. I do like the red light however.I dermaplane all the time with cheap plastic ones I get from Amazon, however, I was excited to try this one bc I love this brand. In terms of the razor itself, it was nothing special or different. It got rid of hair just like the other ones I have.I do however really like this red light. I'm all about a multi-purpose tool and I like that you can opt to use it while shaving or by itself (by capping the razor.) having it in this setting makes it easier for me to use bc it's less daunting than a full face mask.Like another user said, I would have appreciated something to keep the extra blades together especially at this price point.

Made in China
The red light/motor on this didn’t work for me—I don’t know if it was defective when it came to me or if the motor blew out when I tried to charge it. It’s made in China though, so that gave me pause about using the red light in the first place and how effective it would be. The dermaplaning alone worked well (basically just a razor) without nicking my skin. It comes with two additional blades. Probably not worth $25 at the time of this review even if it was fully functional IMO.

Great
I really like this derma plane razor. This will actually help remove the peach fuzz on my skin, and it does not accelerate hair growth at all. your hair isn’t gonna come in darker because you use this. I am not sure about the red light therapy but it doesn’t hurt.

Great
I'm not sure what the red light does, what its purpose is, not if it's actually effective. But as far as the blades go, they are very nice for dermaplaning, they dont have little sharp burrs like the cheaper dermaplaners do and I get a very nice and smooth result .
