Tubing is just heater tubing, won't withstand vibrations
Pretty expensive for a muffler and exhaust adapter. The flex tubing it comes with is worthless. After 5 minutes of engine running the vibration broke the tubing. So my generator is loud again. I will say the muffler is pretty good at cutting the sound. But unfortunately it won't stay connected with the included tubing. I'd say this is worth about 40 bucks max.

Does not vent exhaust gas safety.
I have my generator in an air condition shed and the generator have co2 shutdown sensor. I installed this to vent the exhaust fumes outside the shed but after 45min the Gen would shut down because of co2 inside the shed . I did a water test with the flex pipe a found alot of air leaks. I now have to buy a pipe that wont leak. Im so disappointed. Plus it does make it sound quieter.

It reduces exhaust noise
I recently installed this exhaust extension silencer kit, and I'm pretty pleased with it. First of all, the setup was straightforward and didn’t require any specialized tools or knowledge, so it was easy for anyone to handle. After installing it on my generator, I noticed a big difference in the noise level. It definitely reduces the sound by around 50%, which makes it far less disruptive. The materials are solid, and it seems like it's built to last. One thing I was concerned about was whether it would impact the exhaust flow or performance, but to my relief, it didn’t seem to affect it at all. The silencer fits well with a variety of generators, including Firman and Honda models, so I didn’t need to worry about compatibility. A major advantage is the flexibility it offers in terms of directing exhaust away from the area where the generator is being used, which makes the environment safer and more comfortable. However, I noticed that it can get a bit hot to the touch, so be cautious when handling it after the generator has been running for a while. One small downside is that, while the silencer does its job of reducing noise, it doesn't eliminate it completely, so don’t expect it to turn your generator into a completely silent machine. But for what it is, it’s an excellent investment. It's not too expensive either, especially considering how much quieter my generator is now. The exhaust extension is durable and works as advertised. If you're looking for something that makes your generator a little less noisy and helps vent exhaust more safely, it’s definitely worth considering. Just remember that, like all equipment, maintenance is key, and checking for wear and tear every now and then will help keep it running at its best.

Not effective
This Silencer Kit consists of an adapter nozzle, flexible metal hose, silencer (muffler), and a wall-mounting plate. I didn’t intend to use this to run a generator indoors, since the hose is not long enough to prevent carbon monoxide from recirculating around the generator. So be aware, if you want to run a generator indoors, the hose needs to be at least 25 feet long and preferably vented up through a roof. Otherwise, the recirculating fumes will concentrate CO near the generator. So my intended use was to just make my Firman dual-fuel generator quieter. The adapter nozzle is precisely machined steel which fits over the existing muffler’s spark arrestor and bolts on with 2 screws. The metal hose clamps onto the adaptor and the silencer using U-bolts. The silencer can also fit into a round channel within the mounting plate, All of the pieces fit well, so assembly is easy. But despite the mechanical compatibility, it doesn’t really make the generator quieter. I tested by measuring the sound levels at the standard of 7 meters away from the generator. The sound was only 0.6dB quieter, which is not really noticeable by listeners because -0.6dB is only a 10 percent reduction in sonic energy. Unfortunately, I think that is because much of the generator’s noise comes from other sources aside from the exhaust. So this kit was not successful for reducing my generator’s noise.
