I'm a dress girl in party because I loathe pants and for similar reasons get fussy about tights - Wolford or bust. My preference is always thigh highs. But, if you wear THs regularly, you know they often quit long before you snag them on something. Unlike the nipple/slider variants, these clips will hold up thigh highs with the stay up silicone strips. Also, once clipped they don't come undone. The sizing is great too. For daily wear, I recommend the six strap versions.

I decided to try garter belts because I often times wear thigh high compression socks. However, due to having thick thighs, anything that’s not full length pantyhose WILL roll down as I’m active throughout the day. I haven’t had the opportunity to do an all day wear test as yet but I can admit with my initial try on, the quality has me confident in it. The fabric is smoothe creating a seamless surface underneath your clothes to flattering you. It fits like a glove, ordering size M/L which translates to size 8. I imagine it may be a burden in the warmer months but still gives functionality for the attire.I took away an star because if you have an belly/navel piercing, this garter is high waisted which means it can push up against the piercing. Also while the garter itself is smooth, the clasps create a slight bulge under my dress, where my thumb is pointing towards.

Love the design but the material could be off better quality, overall I prefer this clasp over the silicone hooks. Doesn't stretch the stocking just clips like a pair of suspenders!I bought a L which is a bit too small for me but I'm losing weight so I'll be able to downside on the hooks that keep it on your waist.

I bought this to hold up my thigh high knit socks. They are fairly thick but the clamps are big and strong enough to hold cable knit socks. I have zero doubt they would perform just as well with stockings. Plus, it's comfortable enough that I forget I'm wearing when sitting down.
