A great read for those into the Minecraft world.
Whilst my son is below the recommended age for this book, we've nonetheless really enjoyed delving into the world on Minecraft with Morgan, Ash and Harper. We've been lucky to enjoy several books from the Minecraft world and whilst this is geared for older readers it still paints a great picture as it steps into the world of Minecraft. There are loads of references to this world with items like bows and even Ender Dragons which my son thoroughly enjoyed describing to me based on his own experiences with Minecraft. The story itself is sill, adventurous and overall just a great bit of fun!We really enjoyed reading it over the course of a few weeks and he would also look forward to bedtime because it would mean another a few pages of this story!Solid effort!

Fantastic way to get your gamer reading!
This is an ideal book for any young gamer who loves the Minecraft world. This book is set partly in the world of Minecraft and partly in the real world. It is written in a very engaging style and has lots of great illustrations too.

Slow burner
My son was a big fan of Minecraft, still likes it but not as much. He likes to read and usually when he starts a book. He tends to finish it quickly. He would take it with him on the train, read it while eating or reads to avoid sleeping. So, I thought he would enjoy it a lot.He did but it took him longer to get into. I kind of understood he didn’t understand at first what was going on. The jumping from the real world into the Minecraft world. Eventually he understood and finished the book within a few days. Even at the end, he found it hard to explain the story. My son is 7, I feel if I had read the book with him, it would have helped more.

For young Minecraft fans above all else
Absolutely for young Minecraft fans above all else. The story doesn't have amazing depth - I don't think it's going to be winning any literature prizes - but for its purpose, it's fun, simple, basic and easy to read. My son, who loves Minecraft and is totally a reluctant reader, was really interested by this. That's the purpose of this book and for that reason, I'm happy to recommend it.

Fun Minecraft adventure book
I recently ordered this Minecraft book for my son, and it's definitely been a hit! Currently priced at £7.29, it offers great value for an official Minecraft title, with plenty of story to keep young readers entertained. My son flew through it, saying the story was "really cool," and he loved the mix of Minecraft gameplay with real-life challenges the characters face in school. The book strikes a good balance between fun adventures in the game world and relatable moments in the real world, which helped keep him hooked. The illustrations are a nice touch, breaking up the text with black-and-white drawings that fit well with the Minecraft theme. They’re not too overbearing, but just enough to keep younger readers engaged without feeling overwhelmed by text. It’s ideal for children around 7-10, especially those who may be a bit reluctant when it comes to reading—my son usually doesn’t dive into books, but he really enjoyed this one.Pros😊 Engaging for Minecraft fans😊 Fun mix of game world and real-life challenges😊 Great illustrations that complement the story😊 Simple, easy-to-read languageCons😕 Some text might be a bit too simple for more advanced readersOverall, it’s a great addition for any young Minecraft fan's bookshelf!

Harder to get into
This third saga brings in the context of programming and sets up the Ironsword Academy location. It feels harder to follow than the first book of the Stonesword Saga did - but we're not going to give up on it - or the excellent new character Eek - though have paused to go back to book one of the Woodsword Saga for now.

Minecraft fan book
By boys are invested in Minecraft to say at least. My 7 yrs old finished it in one evening saying how incredible the book is and continuously bursting with something to share about it half way each chapter. The story seems to be taking place in Minecraft world and the real one too. Kids are sent to new school and while being new kids there they also start adventure in Minecraft game to save the server (game world). Having asked my son about the book he said that it was very enjoyable. No difficult words to ready or understand. Artwork added a lot of extra content that you could hand up on for a moment before moving on with the story. He said it was adventures, engaging fun and unexpected. He could not stop reading until the end. To me this sounds like great book for the right age
