This device comes with a short USB cable but no power supply, so you’ll need something to power it.Pairing it with the Tuya or SmartLife app is made very difficult because the instructions fail to mention that WiFi pairing WILL NOT WORK if you have a dual-band router which, these days, most are. There is a work-around:Select “Add manually” and choose “Wireless gateway (zigbee)” then, when you’re asked to confirm whether the unit is flashing slow or fast, wait for it to flash slowly and choose “slow”. This makes the device a wifi access point itself, which you then connect to and pair. Thereafter it’ll work correctly on your 2.4GHz wifi (in the presence of 5.0GHz).If you only have 2.4GHz, it probably works the way the instructions suggest.I’m only using it to connect a Tuya T3E panel to Alexa in the same room, so can’t gauge the range. Switching from eFamilyCloud to SmartLife and then to the official Tuya app was annoying considering it’s all the same code, but it’s working now. Just annoyed the zigbee disappeared from my Echo.

About the cheapest way to get Zigbee devices into the Tuya system!For my purposes I didn't need anything special since I already use another platform for my Zigbee devices.This purchase was just because I needed a way to update the firmware on some Tuya Zigbee devices.For that purpose it works great!
