The "sticky stuff" is separating from the white soft material and the boat has not been in the water since installation. Definitely a manufacturing problem. I tired sending a message via text messaging link but it will not send the message. There is no phone number to call and had to call Amazon to get the link but the link does not allow to send messages only pre-written response. Terrible product and terrible product support!! Stay away from this product, don't waste your money or TIME!!

I purchased this 5ft keel guard to replace a old damaged keel guard on my 16ft fiberglass bass boat. Comes with 3M adhesive and feels rugged, much cheaper than the old one.I follow the directions and all went well. The hardest is that remove the old adhesive from the boat use a putty knife and alcohol. Clean and polish the boat guard, apply the 3M primer, paste the boat keel guard and done. The primer isn't t included and I purchased a 3M primer pen. Just take times because the 3m sticks firmly and hard to remove if you make a mistake. I applied the 3M self adhesive primer as recommended after cleaning and scuffing the area and with alcohol installed product to a t according to directions within 2 days the white kill guard was peeling away from the black strip that is applied to the boat on the back of it now the black strip is even coming off never even got to test out the product. I strongly suggest spend more money on a better product this one is not for you.

I would rate this below zero stars if i coul. I am 2M certified and this product is junk, won't stick to anything except itself and even then it's not very strong. Highly don't recommend this product. I spent hours trying to get this to stick. Primer, marine grade 3M adhesive, heat gun, you name it. Won't stick to aluminum boat at all.

Perfect for my 2020 nitro Z18 bass boat. Such a quality keel guard and protect my boat keel from stony beach and no more scratch on the keel when docking on shoreline. I’ m impressed with strong adhesion. It still stick on my boat hull after went down into the water about 3 or 4 times. I follow the manual and easy to install with my wife. I polish and clean my boat, stick the keel guard, peel, paste and done! Highly recommend and suggest do it BEFORE you damage your boat hull. Wish I had done it sooner.

Put this product on my boat following all directions. Haven’t even gotten to put the boat in the water and just realized the rubber has separated from the adhesive. The adhesive stuck very well to the fiber glass so now I’m stuck having to scrape off the adhesive that is pretty much bonded to it.

Followed instructions to a “T” tape adhered to the hull flawlessly but it’s separating from the rubber Keel Guard itself after being in the water 3 times

Had some necks and dings on my queue that I repaired and wanted to keep it from happening again. Friends suggested this keel guard. Installed it on the boat and used it all last season and have not had any problems with it and is doing a good job of protecting my keel. Installation process was easy enough with a little elbow grease and took me a couple of hours.
