Fender Marine Layer Reverb Pedal

Fender's new line of pedals are sleek and sound great! But, from me, they only get 4 1/2 stars, not 5! The problem is that they should be just a tad smaller in width. They tend to take up a bit too much space on my pedalboard. For that reason and that reason only, I have used other pedals instead, so as not to take up so much room and leaving the board a bit more open for two pedals in their places instead of one.Sound quality is exceptional for most of the pedals, except The Pugilist Distortion, which is great if you want to sound "old school." In regards to playing classic rock like "Rocky Mountain Way" or "All Right Now," it's great, but more up-to-date music requires much more than the 70s/80s-type distortion of The Pugilist. This review is for the Marine Reverb pedal, though, and I can tell you with confidence that it is one of the best new reverb pedals out there! It does SO much! You can't go wrong if you've got enough room on your board!

Definitely enjoying the clean warm tones of the reverb... The shimmer is a nice touch as well. LED backlit knobs are a cool/nice touch but obviously doesn't impact tone, which is what matters most. I'm impressed with this line from Fender and nice to see a decent pedal product from the legendary company.I agree with the others that the jewel light is stupid bright. One shouldn't have to stare at the sun while adjusting your pedal. I'll be looking for something to diffuse this floodlight on my pedal.

I needed this fender marine layer reverb for my marshall origin50H i use the marshall origin50H to do one thing to get ultra pristine british clean tones. The fender marine layer reverb just adds to that and compleats the sound as both the real marshall plexi and the marshall origin50H lack built in reverb. I also really like the color of the pedal it looks like mint ice cream lol.What can you expect from this pedalbuild qualitygreat construction built for the roadsoundsyou can get normal reverb sounds extreme reverb sounds and i summoned the freaking ocean through my amp speakers levels of reverb use with care with great reverb comes great responsibility !

This is a nice sounding reverb pedal. For the cost, it could use a few more parameters to tweak, but it does sound really good.

i love this pedal. Great range of reverb and you can tweak the tones to your liking. Solid quality and looks great as well.

I absolutely love this pedal. I use two amps with and A/B splitter switch with it and mic both. One amp has the dry signal only and the other I route through this pedal with the wet only switch on. I can then pan each mic to opposite sides so dry in one ear and wet in the other. Really interesting effect. The reverb is good, I can get a variety of tones I really like. It doesn’t really do the classic Fender spring reverb, but I am happy with what i can get out of it. The LED’s are so bright you will need to wear sunglasses, or a welding shield.

My fiance plays in a band, says its his favorite petal! He uses it for most songs they play, Black Crows, Audio Slave songs and more that genre.

I like this reverb unit. Although most of my amplifiers have a reverb, I like the controls on this unit
