I'm definitely happy with the results from my purchase with A1lawn seeds.To give context, I had a new patio, fencing and pathway installed. The previous grass was a mix of various types, alot of weeds also.The soil needed lowering and was bumpy, so I removed 8 tonnes of soil over 2 days into a skip. I cultivated the soil and added some lime.I then leveled the ground using a pallet and dragging it up and down, which proved really effective.I then needed seeds, as turf seemed extremely expensive and I'm aware different species of grass grow better in different environments.My soil is rather sandy, so I gave A1lawn a call and after a discussion of the environment and me having kids they advised this type.I was advised to use 1 bag, but in the end needed 2 bags, this was my fault due to spreading by hand. I think a seed spreader, would of done a much better job. Another factor may have been birds, so I bought some reflective tape and bamboo sticks and placed about 50, 30cm long tips on each side of the garden. This proved effective and birds tended to keep away after using the second bag.I also bought some pre-seeder, the whole process took about 8 weeks and atleast 3-4 full working days.What impressed me most about this company, was the technical support they provided over the phone and the instructions they sent out with the seeds/pre-seeder.Thanks 👍

Provided you follow the instructions, particularly in regard to regular watering, this grass seed mix is excellent and after 14 days germination the grass had begun to grow, very pleased with the results.

I swear by A1 products, their fertilisers are great as well as all their other seed. I have an ongoing issue with one side of my lawn going bare over winter and getting filled out with moss, I therefore thought this year i would try this stuff when doing my annual maintenance. It took a little longer to germinate than their other seed but i think was due to low ground temps but now it has taken beautifully. (just over 2 weeks to see mass germination). I have also used this to overseed the rest of my lawn and it has started filling out my lawn very well. I have not found much that beats a1 products and it's my go to for any lawn products.

Sowed this grass seed to cover bare areas where I had removed moss in early March, which normally would have been a little too early but as the weather has been mild and wet considered it a good time. 3 weeks later I have lovely dark green grass where there was previously bare earth and it will soon need cutting. The shaded area will benefit from this grass I believe as it looks stronger than previous grass I had there which was susceptible to thinning out and moss taking over. I’ve always been happy with A1 grass seed as it has never failed to give a lush lawn in my garden.

Disappointed – No Germination After Two WeeksI purchased these grass seeds to overseed bald patches in my lawn, following all the recommended steps for optimal growth. I raked the soil, added topsoil, and used A1 granular grass pre-seeder (which was suggested by the same company). The weather was warm, and I watered daily as instructed. However, after two weeks, not a single seed has germinated ( as on the attached photo).Given the effort and cost involved, this has been extremely disappointing. Either the seeds were of poor quality or something was wrong with the batch. I expected at least some growth, but nothing has appeared. I cannot recommend this product based on my experience.

Used plenty of seed form various brands prior and this has very slow germination period.Coverage was well and over seeded to ensure good thickness once it started to sprout.Nice lush colour once it came through with a nice sized blade of grass.Overall a good quality seed but be aware it takes a while to come through.

Got the garden returfed, but lots of the shady patches died, even though the rest flourished. So I seeded with this A1 stuff and within a couple of weeks, it was growing and was fixed in a few weeks. I sewed quite excessively so the birds would get bored and leave lots and trod it into the ground and gave it a sprinkle once a day.

Slower germination than expected but probably due to weather as just showing now after seeding a few weeks ago. Like this brand as a repeat order but first time with shady . Best value price.
