Sturdy shelves can be disguised with curtains to replace expensive cabinets.
I decided on this shelf, with pretty curtains around it, instead of a pantry cabinet, because the cabinet would have been much too expensive: $800-$2000! There are inexpensive options on Amazon but they would probably last about 6 months, and I wouldn't trust them to hold a lot of weight.I like the white color of this shelf because it looks a lot nicer than plain grey, and matches our kitchen cabinets. In addition, this shelf seems durable enough to last many years. We plan to use it in the garage of our new house when we get one. We will most likely buy a few more of these too. They can be used-and-disguised anywhere.TLDR: My husband and I have a small apartment with an open-concept kitchen/living room, and high, 9-foot ceilings. We needed more shelving to organize a lot of stuff in a small space, so up is the way to go. We are already using one quality bookshelf for food storage but we needed a second for heavy tool boxes and craft items. We also need it to look decent because it is the first thing you see when you walk into the apartment. We will rig up a couple of cheap-but-fancy curtains, from the secondhand store, to hang around the 2 shelf units. We plan to use picture wire, attached to 4 "2x4" boards, drilled into to the wall-studs and sticking out so we can wrap the wire around it to prevent it sagging (we've already anchored the shelf so a few more holes in the wall aren't going to make a big difference when it comes time to spackle before moving out.) This should be more sturdy and functional than any curtain rods I could find. It also will survive our curtain-climbing cats' abuse. (You could simply attach the curtains with Velcro, but we want to use the top shelf, so we need them to hang above it, without attaching ugly wire to the ceiling. Besides, removing Velcro from the wall also requires spackle.) I think it will look a lot nicer than metal utility shelves with doors. The curtains will wrap around the sides of the shelves. We can keep them partly open for normal use, and close the front when company comes over. This will allow quick, easy access to our tools and our dry food. I'll come back and post pictures when it's done, and update on what worked best. This beats using the dining room table to store all the tools and stuff that doesn't have a good home yet. (Everyone does it. You know you do! You eat in the living room, in front the TV, and the dining table becomes the family dumping spot.) We were able to get rid of that space-hogging table and make an exercise/project space out of the dining area -- a big bonus! We were able to arrange things based on how we actually use them, instead of "just in case we have guests." A folding table and chairs can be stored away for special occasions when we host dinner. We put a small computer desk against the wall for projects and office work. The kitchen counter has bar stools on the dining-room side for sitting too. The big TV, in the open living room, can be seen while sitting at the desk or the kitchen counter. We can also stretch on the floor while watching TV. (We padded the area-rug with 2 more old rugs underneath to make it super comfy and soft. There are yoga mats and exercise balls in the room too.) We have a flip-top coffee table in the living room for eating, etc.Hope this review helps some people with creative ideas. I get so many from reading all your reviews and I am grateful for this Amazon-community.

Nice easy to assemble shelving
I bought this to put in a basement closet for extra storage and it works well for me.I put it together by myself and I really like the clean look of it, being white. It is sturdy and you can adjust the shelves to meet your needs. I have no complaints about this shelving and it is priced well and the quality is better than I expected.

FABULOUS AQUARIUM STAND! Just be smart and don’t overload!
I was so nervous to buy this shelf for my aquariums, but damn does it hold well. I love that it’s adjustable, and love how easy it was to put together. If you have a 29 gallon, it HAS to go on the bottom but then the smaller tanks can be stacked up top. Shipping took a while but worth the wait considering how beautiful my tanks look. We are buying another for sure

Quality that's worth every penny.
These shelves are wonderful !! It's the third brand I've tried to line my living room walls with, and I'm so happy with them that I'm getting rid of the previous ones and going exclusively with these. ZERO PARTICLE BOARD !! That makes all the difference in the world. It means that I can wash them off occasionally, which means I can order them in white, which I prefer. They look beautiful. They're STURDY. I was able to easily put them together ALL BY MYSELF (I'm an old lady) although it takes me about an hour, not the 10 minutes mentioned. The paint on these is amazing. You tap them together with the included mallet and THE PAINT DOES NOT CHIP OFF !!! I expect them to outlive me and I'm sure my son will be happy to inherit them someday. If you're wondering which shelves to buy, BUY THESE !!!! You won't be sorry. Quality that's worth every penny. Well packed, and shipped immediately. I have no complaints, only a self satisfied smile.

Quality seems good so far. Just got it set up.
Fair value, good size. Thickness wasn’t sure til it was fully assembled, so far so good. I wish I could’ve found a shelving unit like this with side supports like a bookcase. Some photo albums and scrapbooks are too long to fit in the size they make bookcases, so I found this.

Used as a plant shelf
Sturdy, hasn't rusted even though around a lot of water. Light to move but heavier duty for heavy plants

Low quality, thin metal, poor return policy.
Extremely overpriced, these are $29 shelves tops. Thin metal, bends, and unstable.

Highly recommend the 72” shelving systems.
I bought seven 72” shelving systems for my pantry and I couldn’t be happier. Expertly packaged, easy to assemble and beautiful! I am 67 years old. I assembled 2 sets in less time than it took my husband to disassemble 2 sets of the old wired shelving. I initially ordered 4 sets and liked them so much I decided to order more to complete the pantry, however they were out of stock and was not sure if and when they would be back in stock. So I ordered 4 sets of the 53” units. After assembling one I was not satisfied. Not only did it not meet my needs, it was not as sturdy. When starting the return, I saw that that the 72” sets were now available. After contacting the seller they agreed to take the 53” units back and refund my money. I was really impressed with customer service. The listened to my problem and made it extremely easy to resolve. Thank you Raybee!
