We bought this oven for temp testing PCBs, we were not too bothered about build quality as long as it was safe, In my opinion this is not SAFE.It was damaged when it arrived but the supplier offered a 10% discount which we accepted and knocked out the dented panels, however while we were dismantling the side panel we noticed the wiring of the mains input, the live and neutral input wires were just twisted connections with tape, the live with two other wires and the neutral with three other wires then these twisted wires just had a piece of electrical tape wrapped around them. the cable entered the enclosure through a hole in the back panel, no gland, no grommet, just a sharp hole, no strain relief, this means a sharp pull on the cable could cut the wire and connect the live to ground of the case or worse pul the live wire out of the taped connection, the mains connection plug is the non uk non fused type and the earth connection inside the unit was just the bare end wrapped around a screw into the side panel.In my opinion Amazon are setting themselves up for a lawsuit selling things like this.I have fully re-wired our oven and will closely monitor it while in use.
