Iberico Ham de Bellota Shoulder (Paleta) Cured for 24 Months, Between 20-25 Servings, 10-12 lbs from Fermin Plus Ham Holder and Iberico Ham Knife

I was really afraid to purchase this online, concerned that it might be rancid or dry and I won't be able to return it, but it's just perfect! Well cured and full of flavor. Same quality and similar price to what you'll buy in Spain. The "jamonero" (ham stand) was not the plastic chip one in the pictures but actually a better one made of wood. Also please note that this is "Paleta" (shoulder), not the back leg, so it's smaller and it has a lot of fat.

I opened the parcel and saw that it was not a Leg (as it was advertised in capital letters) but a shoulder, what it's not the same taste. It's for that reason that I don't give the product five stars.However the meat of the Iberico Ham was EXCELLENT, and we loved to have this delicious spanish food during Christmas.The knife was edge and useful. I found the holder more fashionable than needed. Could be shipper and also useful.

I am from Spain so I know the differences between legs and paletas. And this product is misconceptual and it doesn’t mention that is a Paleta. i“Paleta” is the front legs of the pig but they have more fat than the actual “jamón ibérico legs” there is not meat on it and i’ve Paid $300!!!

Terrific gift for a family member. The Fermin meat was wonderful. Very high quality. The carving knife was great too, as was the jamoneria stand. Nite: it was plain brown wood, not what you see in the pictures. Would highly recommend and would purchase again.

Firstly, This is the second and last time I will buy a Paleta de Jamon at this price point. A better deal would be the Jamon Serrano (back leg) for similar price point. The taste is great, no question, but the amount of bone and fat is too much. I would estimate you would get at most 2lbs of meat from this Paleta so that is $175/lb. The other downside is that with all the fat and bone it is very difficult to cut and time consuming. Ending, great taste but not worth buying again, spend more money and get the Iberico (Jamon) back leg or spend the same money and get back leg that is not Iberico. Remember "Paleta" is front leg more bones more fat less meat but less expensive and "Jamon" is back leg which is more meat less fat but 2 times the cost; however, easier to cut and if you get over sticker shock you will be happier in the end.

Product said it was supposed to be 10-12lbs. but arrived with a sticker saying 3.85 kilos which is 8.5 lbs.

I am from Spain and I know what a good jamón de bellota is. This one was very good and I was very happy to have in my American house a real paletilla de jamón ibérico de bellota. Directly from Salamanca. I definitely recommend it. The knife is not great, but you can live with it...

high quality Iberico. Shipped earlier than projected and professionally and safely wrapped and protected. I would give 5 stars except I feel like the knife and stand quality is average. However, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this purchase for anyone that would enjoy Iberico at home. I purchased this as a gift for friends we traveled with to Spain. We recently enjoyed dinner together with the Iberico as a center piece.
